Rose's P.O.V

"There's going to be a ball tonight." Eria said while breaking the silence.

I nodded my head a little bit. "Sounds like fun." I frown. "I guess it's to celebrate the Kingdom... right?"

Eria laughed a little bit and nodded her head. "Yes. I'll have someone send down a few dresses for you to wear."

I nod again. "Alright... thank you..."

Eria nods her head and smiles again. "I'll see you there then." She turns and walks away.

I watch her retreating figure for a little while before turning to walk into the room.

"Lady Rose?"

I turn around to meet blue eyes. "Who are you?"

The boy standing there smiled. "I'm Bryn." He nods his head.

"Okay... it's nice to meet you Bryn..."

He laughs a little. "You have no idea who I am, do you?" he asks.

I shake my head. "Not a clue."

He laughs again. "That's okay. The King would like to see you. If you'll come with me." He moved his arm out, gesturing me to walk ahead of him.

"Do you know what for?" I ask him while frowning.

Bryn shakes his head. "No idea."

I started walking; following after Bryn back upstairs to the room Garner and I were in before.

"Your highness? I brought Lady Rose."

"That's great, bring her in." The King called.

Bryn pushed the door open and moved so that I could walk through first.

I did so and waited for Bryn to follow after me, instead he didn't. He closed the door and that was the last I saw of him.

Swallowing hard, I looked at the King.

He was now... melted... and sitting at his desk.

"Rose. I wanted to talk to you. Please have a seat." He nodded to the chair in front of him.

I bit down on my bottom lip and timidly went to sit down.

I noticed Samuel standing in the corner of the room. He was holding a sword in his hand, ready to fight at a moment's notice if anyone (or anything) attacked the King.

"What was it that you wanted...?" I asked, mostly to just break the silence.

"I wanted to ask you a few questions about that Garner character. I want to know if he's capable of taking care of my niece."

I bit down on my bottom lip. What exactly was I supposed to say? I knew for a fact I couldn't tell him everything Garner wasn't capable of, the list was at least a couple of miles long.

When it came to stuff he was good at doing, well, my mind just went blank.

"I guess so..." I answer slowly. "I mean, he's the savior after all." I shrugged my shoulders.

The only option of who the savior was, was myself. And if I was being honest, I knew it wasn't me. Just after seeing everything going on for him, I'm not even sure if I want to be the savior.

"You don't sound very sure of yourself." The King raises his eyebrows.

I shake my head. "I'm sure. There's nothing to worry about, sir. Garner is more than capable of saving the Kingdom." I bite down on my bottom lip while clasping my hands behind my back.
