"I thought you weren't going to come tonight?" I turn to see Bryn standing behind me.

"I'm sorry." I say. "I thought about it, and just... yeah..."

He laughed a little bit. "Well then, I think you owe me a dance." He holds out his hand.

I bite my bottom lip. "I'm sorry, but I don't know how to dance."

He smiles. "It's okay, I don't either."

We both laugh.

"But, we can both stumble through it together." He smiles. "If you want to..."

I smile. "Alright, sure." I take his extended hand.

Bryn smiles while pulling me close to his body. "Sounds good to me."

I laugh a little bit and hesitantly lay my head on his chest.

Bryn squeezes my hand while walking around in slow circles.

I smile and close my eyes, enjoying the moment.

"Rose!" I pull away from Bryn to see Garner running up with Eria behind him.

I frown. "What is it?" I avoid looking at Bryn.

"Something's happened. There's been a security breech. We need to go immediately."

"What... I don't understand... what are you talking about?"

"We're going to be first in line as the defenses." Garner explains.

I frown. "What? Why...?" I look at Eria beside him.

Worry is all over her face.

"Because I asked you to join me. Don't tell me you're going to back out of it now." Garner said.

I bite my bottom lip and nod a little. "I won't... uhm... let's go and get ready." I turn to look at Bryn. "I'll see you later?"

He nods his head. "Probably sooner than you think."

"Rose, let's go." Garner interrupts.

"I'm coming, just give me a second." I say.

"We don't have a lot of time." Eria adds.

I let out a small sigh. "Okay." I mumble. I wave a little bit to Bryn before following the two out of the room.

"I don't even understand why I have to come. I'm not even the savior."

"I don't understand it either." Eria says. "But Garner said that you were his right hand man... or woman in this case I suppose." She looked me up and down, making me feel self conscious.

"We're in this together, Eria. I know you don't like it. But there's no one here I trust more with my life than Rose." Garner scowled a little. Apparently they were fighting about me earlier...?

Eria rolled her eyes. "Yeah, because why not trust her?" she wasn't pleased with it.

"Look, why don't we just make it easier on everyone and I just won't go. I don't even know what's going on to begin with."

Both of them turn their angry stares to me.

Eria crosses her arms over her chest. "No, you've already been volunteered. There's no backing out of this now."

She turned on her heel and continued walking down the halls.

Garner scowled at me. "Can't you keep your mouth shut for once, Rose? You're going to get the both of us killed before we even make it back home."
