Alice

Chapter 1

Alice's POV

Running. Is the thing that I love to do, I must get it from my mom. My wolf colors I get from both of my parents. My hair use to be red but I dyed it black. My brothers are probably training right now, I don't have to do training until later today. As I was running I ran into a wolf, she was white. I knew who she was from the second I saw her. She was Tori my best friend, who is my mom's friend's daughter. We ran for a few more minutes before heading to school.

"You know I think junior year is going to be a good year." Tori said while turning the radio up.I heard Uma Thurman playing by Fall out boy. I started to move my head to the song. Tori did the same, we love Fall Out Boy. "Why do you say that?" I asked, wondering about what she said about junior year. "Well, I don't know I just feel something deep down inside that I think something great is going to happen." I just smiled. We just listen to the radio for the rest of the way to school. I parked near the door.

When we walked in there were tons of people in groups catching up about what happen during the summer. The wolves of the school weren't in groups that much because we see each other all the time, so there is no point in catching up. "A lot of people." Tori said while walking towards her locker. I nodded and followed behind her. We made it to our lockers. At my locker stood my boyfriend, looking as cute as ever. "Hey babe." He said once I got up to him. I gave him a smile. His name was Emmet, we just started dating a week ago. We have been friends since elementary school though, so I known him for a while. "So, I was thinking I would take you out tonight." He said giving me a smirk. I turned to look at him. "Thats fine with me. Where would we go?" "Thats for me to know and for you to find out. I got to get to class now, I will pick you up at seven." He said kissing my cheek goodbye. "Your boyfriend is so romantic Alice." Tori said. "I think we have different definitions of romantic. " "Well I mean thats somewhat romantic because he could be taking you to this really special place and stuff. I can just picture it." I just laughed at her. I walked to my first period.

When lunch finally came, I sat down with Emmet, and Tori. "So how is everyone's day going?" Tori asked. "Pretty good, I like all my teachers so far." I said placing my hand on Emmet's. "Same here" Emmet said. " I was thinking before we go on our date to wherever, I was wondering you wanted to go for a run." I said giving him a smile. Emmet is also a wolf, he is a reddish colored. "I would really love to Alice, but I have to go somewhere." He said with a sorry look on his face. I just nodded my head. "I can go running though." Tori said trying to make me feel better. "Thanks Tori."

Once school was over I met with Kyle. Who usually trains me. If he can't then my other brother Marvin does. Kyle told me to start on the punching bag. I started punching the bag, and then I thought about how Emmet always says he has someplace to go instead of running. The last time we ran with each other was when we were in middle school. I started to hit the bag harder. "You ok Alice, you look like the bag did something to you." I stopped punching. "Why do guys decide its ok to lie to their girlfriends faces??" I asked Kyle. He just stood there for a second."Did Emmet lie to you?" "I think he has. He keeps making all these excuses why he can't go running with me. He has always done this since middle school. I only seen him in his wolf form twice, when he turned and when we went running together. I just can't believe him, if he doesn't want to run he should just say so, instead of lying to me. You know?" I said looking at Kyle to answer. "Alice, he might not be lying. Or he might just not like anyone seeing him in his wolf form. Maybe you should just ask him when you see him next time Alice." I just nodded my head, and continued training.

After I was done training I went running with Tori. We decided to go in the meadow. Once we got there we shifted. "Tori, do you think Emmet doesn't like people to see him in his wolf form?" I asked. "I don't know, I never really seen him in his wolf for, since we all went running together in middle school. " "Yeah.I guess I should just ask him tonight." Tori and I laid in the grass looking at the clouds for a couple hours. A few minutes before we were about to leave I heard something. "Did you hear that?" I asked Tori. "Hear what?" She said with a confused look on her face. I knew if I tried to explain the sound she still would say she didn't hear it probably. "Never mind, I just must have been thinking about a something." I decided to ask Mira, my wolf if she knows anything. ' Mira?' 'Yeah,' 'Do you know what that sound was?' I waited for a minute or so. 'It must have just been someone walking by, you should stay alert though in case it was something else.' 'ok.' "We should get going now. I have to get home in time for dinner and you have to get ready for your date." "Yeah." We both shifted and headed back home. While we were running back I smelled something, that was so amazing. It made me slow down,then eventually stopped. Tori was too busy running to noticed I stopped. 'Go see what is making that amazing most wonderful scent!' Mira said sounding really excited. I decided to follow it. I knew I was getting closer to it, because it was becoming stronger. Before I got to it Tori's voice popped in my head. "Alice?! Are you ok I got back to your house and saw you weren't behind me." 'I will have to find the scent later Mira.' She didn't respond. "Yes I am fine, I just got lost in my thoughts that i took a break. I am heading back to my house now. " I started to run again, then I heard Tori respond. "Ok, I will wait until you get here before I go home." "Ok" I said back.

When I go to my house, I saw Tori waiting on back porch like she said she would. I shifted and got changed into the clothes that I had in the tree. "You know Alice you scared me, I thought someone kidnapped you or something." She said with a frown. "well I am fine Tori, I won't do it again." She smiled. "Ok, I have to get home now, tell me how the date goes." I nodded my head. When I walked in my parents were watching a movie in the living room. "Oh hey honey." My mother said with a warm smile. "Hey, I can't talk right now I have to get ready to go out with Emmet." My mother nodded. My dad nodded his head as well.

I walked upstairs to my room to get ready. I picked out a blue dress, and a brown belt to go with it. I put on my blue flats. I curled my hair, and did my eye makeup based on the color of my dress. Once I was done I looked in the mirror. I smiled at how nice I looked. I looked at the clock, it was 6:58. I grabbed my bag and headed down the stairs. The whole time I was getting ready I couldn't help but think of that scent I found in the woods. I decided that I would go look for it again tonight. Hopefully Emmet won't keep me out to late.
