Alice

Chapter 9

Noah's POV

I flew all night to get where he lived. When I finally go to his place, the sun was just rising. I shifted, and walked up the pathway he had that lead to the door. I knocked about three times before the door opened. Then there he stood. He hasn't really changed much since I last saw him. To be truthful none of us really age much. "Hello?" He said yawning, and rubbing his eyes. I just walked passed him into his house. "Hey, I don't know who you are, but here we don't just walk into people's houses without permission. " I just rolled my eyes. I turned to look at him. He looked at me. "Noah?" "You should know we are related." "Noah what are you doing here? I mean I haven't seen you in years and you just pop out of no where. " "Well, I came to ask you something." He walked over to his chair and sat down. "Well, what do you need? If it is money I don't have any to give you right now at the moment." "It isn't money that I need from you Damon. I want to know why are you in these pictures with her?!" I said showing the pictures of Alice to him.

Alice's POV

I was so glad that today was saturday. A lot of things have happen this week, and I was just glad they were over. I turned to see what my clock said. Great. I woke up at the time I usually do for school. I knew I probably wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, so I rolled out of bed. I opened my drawer to get some clothes out, and I saw the brown feather that I forgot I put in there last night. I took it out and placed it on top of my dresser. I then got dressed, did my hair,a nd makeup. Once I was finished I grabbed the feather and headed to a buliding where I knew I scienctist lived. He was pretty old but he is still good at what he does. I walked up the stairs that lead to his room. I knocked on his door. "Alice, what might you be here for?" "I hope I didn't wake you but could I come in?" He nodded his head. "I need you to look at this for me, because it doesn't seem just like a regular bird's feather." I said giving him the feather. He took it from my hand, and looked over it, then he walked over to his bookcase. He pulled a thick book, from the shelf. The spine of the book said types of shapeshifters. "This type of feather looks really familiar. I believe that I saw it in this book." "So you think that the feather belongs to a shape shifter.""Yes I do. " I stood there for a couple minutes while he looked through the book.

"I found it." I walked over to where he was. "I believe this is what you are looking for. I met one a long time ago, after that I never seen any body else that was one." I looked to the page he was pointing at. Before I read the title of the page, I skimmed through the paragraphs. 'They smelled like woods' , 'Are immortal', 'Bigger than any other type of bird', 'They have very good senses.' After I read those few things I looked at the title of the page. Phoenix.

Noah's POV

" I am going to ask you again Damon, why are you in these photos?" He stared at the photos for another minute. "That was a long time ago, brother." "Just get to the point." "Do you want to know or not Noah." I rolled my eyes, and let him continue. "I was staying in a territory with wolves. They didn't know what I was, so they didn't question me or anything like that. While I was there I met this scientist. He told me all these things about wolves. Like how they have mates and stuff like that. When I was getting ready to leave, I saw this girl who is in these photos. And you of anybody should know I do have a talent. Some of us get them some don't. Mine is seeing the future. When I saw this girl, I saw that she was your mate, but the most important thing was that there was a war going on. I saw her, so many times in different places during these visions of this war. What I am trying to say is that I stuck around to see what she does. Of course you can tell she was young then. I didn't see her do anything that stood out so I left. I never went back there again. Which I am not planning to. " I stood there for a minute thinking about what he just told me. Of course I knew he could see the future, but he knew this whole time about her. "Is that why you left me when I was a kid , because you knew about her and I?!" I said getting upset thinking about the day he left me. "Yes. I guess since you are here, I shall warn you about the war that is going to happen between us,and somebody else. Its going to happen soon, my visions didn't tell me how soon just that it would happen this year. Its a war between us and the elders." "What do you mean the elders and us?! Who is this "us"?" "By us I mean our family. Dad, you, me, and our sister. I don't know what starts it, but I am thinking it has something to do with your mate. I believe she has something the elders want. That's also the reason I left you. I wanted to go look for what she could have that means so much to the elders. " I stood there for a minute. I could see he was thinking about something. "I guess, I will have to keep an eye on her.If she is what the elders need for whatever reason." He nodded. "I am going to head back out now. It was nice seeing you again brother." "You too. On your way home, go see our sister. She needs to know what is about to happen." I nodded my head, and left to see my sister.

When I arrived at my sisters house, it was around lunch time. I knocked on her door. She opened the door. "Noah?" "Yeah its me. I have to tell you something." She motioned her arm to tell me to come in. Like my brother she hasn't changed much. "What is it?" I turned to look at her. "Well, I went to go see Damon about something. He informed me that a war is about to happen between our family, and the elders. Apparently the elders want something that deals with my girlfriend." "Oh. I wonder what it could be." "Same." "If it has something to deal with your girlfriend why don't you just break up with her, and our family doesn't have to go in war just hers, or something." I just stood there for a minute. "I can't leave her May." She looked confused. "And the reason would be?" "She is a wolf, and I am her mate. So I can't just leave her. Mates apparently very important to wolves. According to what I read about them, a mate is the other half of them. " "Oh, well then I guess I better get to training if this war is going happen like Damon says." I nodded my head. "I have to be getting back now, see you soon May." "You too Noah." I gave her a smile and headed back to where Alice lives.
ALICE'S POV
I looked at the page for another few minutes. Thinking about Noah. He matched a couple things that I read. " Thank you for helping me out. I have to get home now." I said to him. " Your welcome Alice. " I nodded my head, and headed back home. When I got back to my room I laid there on my bed thinking about if Noah was actually a shape shifter. I mean it would explain how he disappeared so quickly, why I felt like something was following me from above, and how he smelled like the woods. After I thought about it for a little bit more, I headed down stairs, and decided to take a run. I shifted , and started to sniff around for Noah. I found a tree that had a strong scent of him. I looked up and saw that he was laying there, it looked like he was sleeping.

I went behind another tree and shifted back. I looked back at Noah. " Noah" I shouted at him to wake him up. I saw him jump up like I startled him. He looked down at me and smiled. Then he started to climb down. " Hey, now look who is sneaking up. " he said with his smirk. I smiled . I could tell by his face that he knew something was up. " Are you ok? You look upset. " I took a deep breath. I pulled the feather out from my pocket. " Noah, what are you?" I said while holding the feather out to him. He took it from my hands and looked at it. " You already know if you have this." He had a soft look in his eyes. " I want to hear it from you though, because to be truthful I am not sure if you are what I think you are. " He looked at the ground. I lifted his chin up so our eyes met. " You can tell me Noah, I won't run away. You have my word. " He stood there staring at me for about a minute. " I am a Phoenix."

I stood there without talking for a couple minutes. I saw that he looked like he was panicking some because he didn't know what I was thinking. " why didn't you tell me?" I finally asked. " because I was afraid you would run away or something." " I would never run away from you. I love you too much for that to happen." With that he crashed his lips to mine. This kiss was different front he one last night. This one was more passionate. The one last night was soft, and not as ruff or whatever it is. When he pulled away my breathing was hard because we kissed for about a minute or two. He still held me close to him, placing his fore head on mine. " I hope I am not interrupting anything. " I turned to see Kyle behind me. I pulled away from Noah. " you can't tell mom and dad. I don't want them to know yet. " " what is in it for me?"

I stood there thinking what could I give him to keep his mouth shut. Then Noah walked over to him and whispered something I couldn't hear. I said Kyle's smile get bigger, like he would agree to do what Noah said. Noah walked back over to me. "I will keep my mouth shut." With that he shifted and ran back to the house I guess. I turned back to Noah. "What did you say to him?" Noah smirked. "Guy talk. I just said I would help him find his mate before he becomes alpha.I also said some other stuff that you wouldn't get." I smiled. I then pulled Noah to me. We stood there staring eye to eye, shoulder to shoulder, body to body. Gosh he was so hot. Before I could think of what I was doing I noticed I was kissing Noah. I put my hands his hair, tugging it gently. He then pinned me to the tree near us. Right before I was about to Noah if I could mark him I saw someone staring at us. I pushed Noah away from me some. He look kind of shocked then he saw someone there too. When I look over to where the person was, I noticed it was Tori. I blushed about how she saw Noah and I making out. Noah just smiled at me. "I hope I didn't interrupt anything." She said with a grin on her face. "No not at all, we were just kissing that was it," I said hoping she catched the little bit of anger in my voice, I said that to her thinking about how I was going to mark Noah. I guess it will just have to wait for now. "Ok good. So Alice you want to go hang out now since I am here?" She said giving me her puppy dog eyes. I just shook my head and said,"Fine." "Yay. Would you like to come with us Noah?" Tori asked. "No, I should leave you two to have some girl time." I gave him a warm smile before I left.
