Chapter 12

Alice's pov
"Kayden" I said my voice laced with anger. "What doo you want?" I asked. "You have something I want, and when you give it to me I'll let you leave." I didn't respond. Instead I was trying to mind link someone in my pack. 'Mom?!' No answer. 'Dad?!' No answer. 'Anyone?!' Again no answer. " There is no point in trying to mind link . We injected you with wolfsbane. " Kayden said . "Let me go! I don't have what you want!" Kayden just started to smirk. "Oh I think you do." He said holding up a picture. "You see, this was my wife's necklace, which she lost running away from your kind. I have been looking for it, ever since she passed away, and one of my men just happen to see you wearing it. So now if you give me what I want I will let you go, with no scratches. However if you don't... Well you'll find out. "
I looked at the picture he was holding. Then it hit me " I woke up to howling, and growls. Me being me, and little. I grabbed my teddy bear and walked down the stairs. I was guessing my brothers were still asleep. When I got down stairs I saw my mom walking around. I wonder what is happening. "Mommy." I said. She stopped walking and turned to me. "Alice, sweetie, go back to your room." She said with pleading eyes. I don't know what was going on, but it must have been bad because mom looked scared. I nodded my head. Right when i was about to go back up stairs my dad and a bunch of warriors came in. "Daddy!" I said running to him. He looked upset, but then he bend down to my height to give me a hug. When he pulled away he said, "Alice I need you to go to your room for me ok? We need to take care of some business that you are too young to understand right now." I was upset that I couldn't stay with the grown ups, but I just nodded my head and went upstairs. When i got back to my room, I heard my dad, my mom, and warriors were passing my room heading to my dad's office. I went to my door,and cracked it just a little to see what they were doing. "We need to get more wolves out there looking." I heard my dad said. Looking for what? I asked myself. When I saw them go in the office I walked out of my room to the office and carefully laid my head against the door to listen what was going on. "I think if this thing keeps going on we have to send the pack to a safe house until it clears up." I heard my mom say. " I agree with the Luna, alpha." Another wolf said. " I just can't believe that there are hunters on our land still." Dad said sounding upset. Hunters? I asked myself. I heard stories of them, but I never would have thought they would be on my land. "Well get more warrior wolves out there searching. I will be there shortly." I heard my dad say. "Yes, alpha." Then I heard the warriors coming to the door. I then ran as fast as I could back to my room, and carefully closed my door. Right when I did that I heard the warriors walking passed my room. I then cracked my door open a little. When I did that I saw mom, and dad coming out of the office. " I am heading back out, I will see you tonight." My dad said to mom. "Just be careful, I don't know what I would do if you got hurt." My dad pulled mom into a hug. "I will." He said to her. When he pulled away he gave her a kiss on the lips and started heading down stairs. I then closed my door.
Later on...
For the rest of the day I just hung out with my brothers. I am guessing what I heard about hunters I wasn't suppose to know, so I just kept that to myself. Even though I wanted to tell my brothers I didn't. My dad wasn't home for dinner. Around 8pm my mom told us to get ready for bed. After my mom tucked my brothers in she came to my room. "Mommy, when is daddy going to be home?" I asked while she was pulling my blanket up. "He will be back shortly sweetie. Just get some sleep. " She said kissing my fore head and heading out my room. "I love you." She said standing at my doorway. "Love you too mommy. " I replied back. She smiled and closed my door. After a couple minutes I heard my dad and mom talking. "I just put the kids to bed. " I heard her say. "Well we think we got all the hunters. I guess I will go say goodnight to them. " "Ok, I will be down stairs." I heard my mom reply. After about five minutes my dad finally came in my room. He walked over to my bed. "Where were you?" I asked as he sat beside me. "i had to take care of some pack things. I'm sorry I wasn't here. But I bought you something to make up for it. " He then pulled a necklace out of his pocket. It had a silver chain, and in the middle was a oval of crystals and in the middle of that was a purple stone. "Its so pretty. " "I found it while I was out. " He said. "I love it."I told him. "I knew you would. Now get some sleep." He said kissing me on my forehead. I nodded my head. Before he left he set the necklace on top of my desk and then walked out of my room.

I had no clue that was his wife's necklace.I never asked my dad where he found it. "So can you give me what I want or do we have force you to give it to us?" I would just hand him the necklace, but I didn't want to because I figure that his wife was Bella,. The reason was because when I was 13 Tori and I went in the woods to play, then we found cabin just outside our land. Us being us went to explore it. It looked like it was abandoned for years. When we got to the cabin there was a lock on the door. It was a combination lock. At the time I was wearing the necklace,and when i was messing with it, looked at the back and noticed 3 double digit numbers that I never noticed before. So I tried it, and the lock open. Then Tori and I went inside.The walls were lined up with books and weapons. On the tables were maps. We noticed that most of the books were notes, on hunting. Tori then flipped through the pages of one and found something like a diary entry. ' Today, I lost my necklace that my husband, Kayden, gave me. The problem is that it wasn't just any necklace it has the combination to the lock on this door to this cabin. Another thing that happen was my fellow hunters and I finally went on the near by wolf pack's land. Most of us escape, and then some of us did not. After what happen today I have decided to stop hunting. After years of trying to take over that pack I have given up, because I have fallen ill. Maybe one day my fellow hunters will find my necklace and come to this cabin, and get try to use my notes to help them take over that pack. IT still pains me what they did. Even though it was different rulers at the time, it was still the same pack, and some wolves might still be alive that were part of it. I guess I will never know. Sincerely , Bella. After we found that we left the cabin and never went there again. We were too scared to tell my father or anyone, so that became our secret. Thats why I don't want to give it to him , because he probably knows that the necklace leads to the cabin and who knows what he will do with that information. He would most likely will take over my pack and I don't want to put them in danger. "Never." I told him. "Fine have it your way."With that he walked out of the room.
