Chapter 13

               Once Kayden left I tried to figure out a way to get out of here.  The wolfsbane shouldn't stay in my system for too much longer.  After trying for about five hours I gave up.I was jusst too tired to go on. "Well, look who is still up at this hour." Kayden said walking into the room.I could feel my eyes getting heaveier. "Please, just let me go." "I told you I will if you just give me that necklace. I mean I don't see why you would need it, it has no special value to you. Not one bit. But to me it means the world because it was my wife's, so just give me the necklace and I will send you off on your way." "You know why I won't gve you that necklace don't you, andd I bet it just tears you up inside." I told him with my voice lace with anger. "How would you know what that necklace leads too?" Kayden asked. "Because i been there, and let me tell you that place isn't so nice." Kayden looked shocked that I knew about the cabin. "My wife's necklace did indeed lead to a cabin, but she would never tell me what she kept in there. " "Do you even know what your wife was??" I aksed. "What do you mean did I know what she was?" "Her job?" i said back. "Yes, she was a pedatric." The look on his face tells me he trufully doesn't know his wife was a hunter. "You really don't know what is in that cabin do you?" I asked even though i already knew the answer. "No, I'm afraid I don't, but if you will kindly just give me that necklace I will. " "Your wife wasn't just a pedatrican. " "What are you talking about? You think I don't know what my wife did. I was married to her for almost 52 years." "Your wife was a hunter. You know a person us shapeshifters should be afraid of." "I know what a hunter is, and my wife wasn't one." With that kayden stormed out of the room slamming the door behind him. "Inject her with more wolfsbane." I heard him tell the guards outside the door. A couple minutes later the guards came in with a needle. They opened my cell door, and held my arm. "No please don't." i said trying to my arm but with them being chain up I couldn't. "Sorry boss's orders. " The guard said. And with that I felt sharp pain in my arm , and a couple minutes later I passed out.
Noah's pov
All day and for most of the night I flew looking to where Kayden could be keeping Alice.  A couple minutes ago I felt a sharp pain in my arm. Which I am guessing them doing sometig to Alice's arm. I reall hope she is ok, because I love her.
Alice's pov
After about an hour I woke up. I  saw it was still dark outside. I am still too weak to do anything.  The door to the room opened and Kayden walked in. Of course. "Listen I told you, that cabin is bad news, you really don't want to go in there." Kayden didn't say anything. "if you want I can take you there, so you can see for yourself." "How do you suggest we get in there, I tried several times to break that lock its no use. So unless we have that necklace there is no other way we can get in there." "If you let me go, I will go home get the necklace, and take you to the cabin. You can send some of your men with me if you want. I also wanted to ask you what happen to your wife's family?" "She said a pack of wolves killed them. That's all I know. I don't know why the wovles killed them and to be truthful I really don't care. All I want is that necklace back and I will do anything for it. " "So you won't try to get revenge for your wife's family?" "No I won't. If the pack of wolves killed her then maybe  yes, but she fell ill. She never talked much about her family, and I never knew them. Now I will give you 6 hours to go get the necklace and return here. I will have my men take you of course. If you run into your family, or Noah you have to make an exuse of some sort."He said walking into my cell ad unhooking the chains. He then held me by my arm tight to make sure I  just won't run away and took me to where his men were. There were two of them. We all walked outside the building. "Since you still have wolfsbane in your system you are unable to shift,so run or walk or both as fast as you can to make it back here in time and not to get caught. Now go your time starts now." With that I took off to the woods. I saw his men flying above me. The problem is with wolfsbane in my system it dulls my senses some, so i am having a hard time trying to find my pack's scent. After what felt like forever i figured oout where I was, which is on my pack's land. I stopped at the river which I found just a couple minutes ago. Which then i knew that my house is about 10 miles straight from it. Since I can't shift I won my house and back without getting caught . Which my house shouldn't be too much farther.  After a couple moore miutes or so i made it to the edge of the woods that is by the back of my house. I saw several warrior wolves , and my parents inside.  I tried my best to go tot he tree right next to my room. My plan was to climb it and hope I kept my windo unlocked. When I finaly got to the limb that goes to my window I carefully crawled across it making sure that it wasn't goign to break.And then carefully opened my window making sure not to make to much nosise because if I  made one loud sound everyone would be coming into my room. When i made it safety to my room I quietly went to my jewelry box and opened it and started to look for the ncklace. I'm not sure how long it has been since  I left but the sun has already came up. After I found the neccklace I carefully cosed my window and climbed back onto the branch. I looked down the tree to make sure the coast is clear before climbing down. I saw kayden's men in a tree by the edge of the woods watching me. Once I got to the woods I took off. Since I  don't remember where Kaydens building is or whatever I followed hiss men.
After what felt like 30 minutes, I could tell that my senses were coming back, and I noticed that we were still on my land. Then I smelt it. I looked uo and saw Noah. "We have to hide I told the Kayden's men." They just turned and looked at me. "We are almost back at the building , so we should keep going." One of them said back. i rolled my eyes. "No we shouldn't because Noah is flying right above us." I said pointing above me. They both looked up. "How d you know that's not just a regualar bird?" i rolled my eyes again. How stupid can they be? "If y'all wn't stop and go into hiding then I will just go by my self." I told them while turning raround tto look for a place  to hide. While I was looking I noticed Kayden's men were following me stil. "I thought y'all were going to keep going?" I said with my back still turned towards them. "Well, we are under orders to watch you, which we can't do if we just left you here." I didn't reply because I was still looking for some place to hide, which is pretty hard since it's just woods. I really thought we had a cave around here somewhere.  Right when I was about to give up I found a cave. But then I noticed that Kayden's men weren't with me anymore, and when I turned back around Noah stood in front of me.  "Alice." He said pulling me into a hug. As much as I would love to hug him back I really needed to find Kayden's men and get back I pushed Noah away. He gave me a confused look. "Alice, are you ok?" I could sense that kayden's men were near me, and that I knew my time was running out. I could feel tears come to the edge of my eyes, but I held them back because the next thing I say will hurt me more than him. "Leave me alone! I'm not staying I'm going back and there is nothing you can do to stop me." "But Alice why? I mean I thought you loved me and all?!" "I don't." With that I shifted and ran as fast as I could. I could feel that Noah was heartbroken.  I followed Kayden's men back to the building. 

"Ah Alice, you have returned finally. I thought you would never come back. I also see that the wolfsbane has wore off. " He then mothioned to go inside. I follwed. 'Alice! Where are you?! Why did you go back?! Noah said he ran into you. Please come back. If we did anything to make you hate us and run away, or if they brainwashed you into thinking we don't love you. It's not true ok. We love and care about you so please Alice come back. We are worried sick.' I heard my mom's voice in my head. AS much as I wanted to come back I have to get this over with first.  "Well I will give you some clothes and you may change in here. I'll be waiting outside the door when you are done." I nodded my head.  After I changed I came out. "Now where is that necklace?" I took it off my wrist because thats the only place I wouldn't lose it when I shifted. I gave it to Kayden. His eyes widen. "It looks to be in the same condition the day I gave it to her." "Well lets just say that I took good care of it." "Right. Well lets go." After awhile we reached the cabin.  Kayden then took the necklace and the lock came undone.  I followed behind Kayden. Inside the cabin was just how I remembered it. Full of weapons and journals. I could Kayden was confused, and sad. "Ok I gave you what you want. I even warned you about this place. May I go home now." He didn't answer.  He just kept his head down. Then I could hear weeping. I then noticed it was from him. "You were right, there isn't anything important to me in here. This was not the person I knew my wife was. You are free now. Before you go, I would like you to have the necklace back. I think you would like it more than I will." He said looking at me holding the necklace in his hand. His eyes were red from crying. I knew by the way he was holding the necklace in his hand he really didn't want to give it back to me. "No, you should keep it. Let it remind of the good memories you had with your wife, not the ones she kept from you." I could see a faint smile. He nodded his head. "You can go now." With that I left.
