Alice

Chapter 5

Alice's POV

Right when I got home, I went straight to the edge of the woods, dropped my bags and changed into my wolf form and ran.  I was just so stressed out about today, and running lets me feel calm. I was running towards the river, that separtes our two lands. While I was running I felt like someone was following me. I turned my head, I didn't see anyone. When I got to the river I shifted and changed into the clothes I had in the tree. Once I got out from behind the tree there he stood.

Noah's POV

     I flew above her.  Once we got to the river I saw her shift and go behind the tree. I circled around a couple times thinking what I would say to her. Should I let her find out right this minute, or wait a little bit. After thinking for about ten minutes, I finally went down, and perched on the rock. I shifted. Right when I shifted she came out from behind the tree. She looked so pretty. 

Alice's POV

      He was wearing the sunglasses still. I wonder why he does that. I was also wondering how he got here. I didn't see anyone following me. Unless he was already here, but I didn't smell him when I shifted back. "Hey." He managed to say, pulling me out of my deep thoughts. I looked up at him. "Hey, umm where did you come from?" I said still wondering where he came from. "I was just walking by, and I needed something to drink." I don't believe him for some reason. "Oh." I said. He walked over to me.I could feel my heart start to beat faster and faster every step he took to me. "Alice, we need to talk." I just nodded my head. Because I couldn't speak, because his scent was just so overwhelming, and distracting me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the rock where he was standing just a minute ago. I sat on the rock while he stood up. "So what is it that we have to talk about?" I was starting to get scared. I was thinking something bad was going to happen to him or something. "Once you find out what I am going to do, I am pretty sure you will find out what I want to talk about." I just nodded my head. Even though I was really confused. He then took his glasses off and looked at the ground. Did something happen to his eyes is that what he is talking about? Before I knew what I was doing I lifted his head. When my eyes met his, Mira freaked out. 'WE FOUND HIM, OUR MATE!!!! YAY!!!' My mate thats why I was feeling all these things. It makes so much more sense now. That also might be why he was wearing such dark sunglasses, because he knew. But how does he know about mates if he isn't a wolf? "Alice?" I  looked back at him. I pulled him into a hug. I didn't just want to kiss him, because that would be weird. Well it might no because he knows about mates, but still. "Your mine." I whispered in his ear. "I know." He said back. So it was true he does know about mates.

      "I think you can let me go now Alice." I let him go. I wonder if he knows what I am then."Noah,can I ask you something?" I asked looking into his eyes. They were a light shade of blue. "You just did." He said with a smile. I laughed at him. My brothers use to do that to me all the time. "Haha. Now can I ask you?" He gave me a smirk. I wonder what he was thinking. "You already did." I punched his shoulder softly. I need to stop wording stuff like a question. "Ow." He said still having a smirk on his face. "Noah, I am serious. May you answer my first question, so I can ask you another question?" I said making sure I worded it right this time. "Sure, ask away." Finally.  "Do you know," Before I could finish he answered me. "Yes I know what you are. I known it this whole time. I know your friend is one too, and your boyfriend. Who is probably going to be your ex boyfriend now since you figured out I am your mate. " He said with a serious look on his face. I was kind of shocked. How did he know Tori and Emmet were wolves?? The only way is that someone either told him, or he has been watching me for a while. I wanted to ask him, but I didn't know how.Then he spoke up. "You looked shocked that I know this." He said lifting my head up so my eyes met his.  "Kind of." He gave me a  small smirk. "You are just going to have to find out how another day, my love." My heart melted at how he called me  "my love." We sat by the river looking at the sky for about an hour or two before my mom's voice popped in my head. 'Alice?? You better answer me young lady! Your father and I are worried sick about you. Kyle said you never showed up for training, and its getting dark. ' She was really upset. ' I am coming.' 'You better!' "I am really sorry Noah but I have to get going, My parents are looking for me. I will see you tomorrow." I said kissing him on the cheek goodbye. He nodded his head. With that I shifted and headed home.

       My mom sounded so upset with me. I have no clue why though.  I started to run faster. While I was running I felt like someone was following me again. I didn't bother to turn my head around to see if someone was or not because I have to get home fast. When I got home, My dad and mom was standing at the edge of the woods. I couldn't shift without them seeing me naked, so I stayed in my wolf form. My dad looked pissed. I lowered my head, to show submission, and that I was sorry. "Alice you are in big trouble young lady. " My dad said in his alpha tone, showing he was mad. I lowered my head more.  This caused me to lay down.  "I want you to come in the house once you are done changing. Your mother and I have to talk to you." He said still using his alpha tone. With that they left. I shifted and got into my other clothes. I saw my bag was still out here where I left it so I grabbed it and brought it with me.

When I walked in, my parents were sitting in the dining room. I walked in and sat down at the table. My mother started," Alice, you are in trouble for a couple things." I just nodded my head for her to continue. "One is for skipping your training, and the other is for making fun and punching Emmet at school." What?! I never punched Emmet, and I didn't make fun of him at school. Unless Emmet told the principle that I did, after I left the school. He must be getting back at me for not forgiving him. He is such a great friend. Isn't he? "Well what do you have to say young lady?" My dad said. "I'm sorry. I must have hit him by accident or something, and he thought that I punched him on purpose. I am also sorry for making fun of him, at school. It wasn't like me, I was just mad at him, about the fight we had last night and I wanted to get him back. I am also sorry for missing training today, I will go back tomorrow. " That was really hard to say. Because I made that all up, hopefully they don't catch it. I really don't like lying to my parents but if I try to tell them that I didn't do it, they wouldn't believe me.  "You better be sorry young lady. Now you are grounded for two weeks. So no electronics, no car , you will take the bus, no sneaking out, you will have a guard with you at all times,  and no running on free time. You are only allowed to run when you are training. Do you understand me?" He said that all in his alpha tone, because then he will know for sure if I would follow his rules or not. "Yes sir." "Now go and do your homework." My mother said. When I got to my room, I wanted to scream my heart out. I would love to just go and run, but I can't. When I see Emmet tomorrow he is going to regret it. I would talk to Noah about this, but since we haven't marked each other we can't talk through our mind link.

  I walked over to my window and opened it. At least I can breathe in the air. I stood there staring at the woods for a few minutes. For a second I was sure I saw a huge bird in the trees, but when I rubbed my eyes, and looked again nothing was there, so I just thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me.  I decided to go to bed now, because my day was just so bad and I would like to just forget it. And sleep is the only way to get my mind off it.

Noah's POV

     When she shifted, I waited a minute, and shifted and flew above her. I could barely keep up with her because she was running so fast. It must have been something serious if she was running this fast. When we got to her house, I perched on a tree above her. I saw her parents at the edge of the woods. She stayed in her wolf form. I couldn't hear what her parents were saying but I saw Alice lower her head, and then she lowered her head again which caused her to lay down. She must have been in some trouble or something for her to do that. Then her parents went in the house, and after about five minutes she went in the house as well. I didn't know what happen in her house, but it must have been bad because when she got to her room   I saw her,and she looked like she was going to explode from anger. She then open the window.I knew she saw me so I flew off. She would probably think her eyes were just playing tricks on her because she only saw me for a second. After I left her house I went to my tree and fell asleep.She will probably tell me tomorrow what happen.
