Caspar opened the door and looked at me. I was quick to look away and wipe away the rest of my tears.
"We're heading to the arcade. Zoe really wants your ass too go so, hurry up." he turned on his heel and walked off, leaving the door open. I closed my eyes tightly then opened them, praying it was a dream. It wasn't. I was here and I was doomed. I got up and walked throught the door, closing in and locking it behind me. I walked out the front door and locked that too. I slumped into the backseat, happy to be alone. I looked at the window and stared at the houses zooming by. Then my phone buzzed and I figured it was a text from Oli. I was surprised to see it was Zoe who had sent me a message.
Zoëzee: Hopefully this will make you feel better. You can tell me what's wrong. I'll make sure no one finds out.
Joêzee: It's just that truth or dare game Zoe. It's just getting on my nerves you know?
Zoëzee: So you like Caspar?! Oh my god Joe!!!! I'm so happy that he was your first kiss then.
Joêzee: It was planned Zoe. I could tell. I'd never really thought I had a crush on Caspar and now I realized I do and he doesn't like me. He likes you. :(
Zoëzee: He doesn't like me Silly. Alfie loves me and I love Alfie. Caspar is to big of a baby to get between our relationship Joseph. You're so stupid. XD
"We're here!" Alfie called from the drivers seat just as I was about to reply to Zoe. I shoved my phone in my pocket and pretended like the whole thing never happened. I crawled out and walked inside before everyone else. I waited for everyone else and Jim purchased the tokens for us. I made sure to stick by Zoe because I didn't feel like being messed with. Zoe pointed the dance game that I was never good at.
"Wanna play?" she asked me, a smirk showing on her face. She knew I was horrible at it and she wasn't half bad. I walked up with her and I could feel the stares of everyone else. Zoe was about to put in her tokens but I hit her hand away.
"Don't waste your tokens on a game you know is going to take 3 seconds anyway." Zoe laughed at me as I put in the 4 tokens. We danced and I was right. Zoe laughed at me as I pushed her playfully. Alfie gave me a glare as I turned around. Zoe took me to pacman and told me to take a go. I was about to put in my token when Zoe slid in hers.
"I'm not going to be in your debt little bro." I played and Zoe was encouraging me on but, I wasn't good at that either. I had fun though and it was the first time Zoe had hung out with me in ages. Zoe decided she wanted to play some other game so I walked along beside her as the others watched Jim and Tanya play a game together. Zoe slid in her token as I stood beside her. I felt someone push me out of the way and of course Zoe didn't care.
I walked off and sat down and one of the racecar games. I shoved my tokens in and then looked at how many I had left. 2. I stuck them in my pocket and began to play the game. I heard footsteps walk up behind me and I winced knowing I was probably going to get my head hit against the machine. I was wrong about that. I was pushed off while Alfie distracted Zoe and Marcus sat on the bike. I stood up just as Zoe looked over.
"Its good to see you and Marcus getting along Joe!" Zoe seemed sad happy. I just smiled back at her and walked into the bathroom. I collected my thoughts and figured I could get back in the swing of the arcade with Zoe. Then I could have fun for the first time this whole holiday. I hurried out and tapped Zoe's shoulder.
"Hey! What's up?" she asked, looking around.
"Wanna get in the Photobooth?" I asked, looking at the first thing I saw.
"Yes! That'll be so much fun." Zoe smiled at me and we opened the curtain.
"Its 4 tokens." I frowned pulling out the two I had left. Zoe held out her last to and sat them in my hand. I pushed them into the slot and we looked through the frames.
"That one's cute." Zoe mumbled, I stopped and took the pictures with her. We laughed as they printed out.
"That was fun. It's the first time we've hung out in ages Zo!" I exclaimed crawling out. Zoe right behind me. I turned around and saw Alfie taking her away. I sighed and found a seat. I sat down and put my face in my hands.
"If they want to take Zoe from me thats fine."
