I already couldn't swim so when I was woke up from the only nice thing this week to be taken to an indoor pool my anger meter couldn't be more full. I took my clothes for today and went to the bathroom to change. I shoved the old ones in my suitcase and grabbed my swim shorts. I followed everyone out the door and back into the camper van. I could see the excited look on everyone else's faces as I sat poker faced. Zoe had decided to sit next to me, causing me to have to hear the 4 way conversation that shes having with everyone.
"Joe can you please talk with me?" Zoe asked, making my attention go to her.
"Zoe Im the last person you want to be talking to. I have a dick on the side of my face for god sake." I mumbled, seeing Zoe frown. She always thinks im going to have the best time of my life on these holidays. I wish I could straight up tell her everyone in the camper van hated me but, I can't.
"We're here!" Jim exclaimed from the drivers seat. We all got out and I walked into the changing room with my swim shorts. I opened a stall and locked it behind me. I changed and opened the door, hitting Caspar. I hurried off and got into the pool. I watched everyone else head towards the deep end. Im taller than Zoe and I can't even be in the deep end. Then I saw Alfie's hands around her waist. They really did want to get rid of me. Thats okay with me. I climbed out of the pool and sat beside it, sticking my toes in. I didn't have much confidence swimming wise. I preferred this really.
Of course everything went wrong. I felt someone push me and I fell in face first as someone held me down. I struggled against them as tried to swim back up. Eventually the person let go and I gasped for air. I saw Marcus swimming back and I sighed. I got out of the pool and around to the deep end. No one was paying attention so I sat down and looked for Zoe.
"Zoe. Zoe!" I whispered as she looked at me. She grabbed the wall and began to swim over.
"What Broseph?" she asked, smiling at me.
"I'm going to go sit in the camper van." I mumbled as Alfie began to swim over. Zoe frowned but nodded. I hurried along the edge of the pool and to the changing rooms. I grabbed a towel and went into a room. I dried off and changed back into my normal clothes. I walked out of the indoor pool and remembered I didn't have the keys to the van, Jim had them. I groaned aloud and headed back inside. I knew for a fact Jim wasn't giving them to me nicely.
I closed the door as quietly as I could but, of course it echoed around the pool. They all looked at me and I just waved. Soon there attention was back on eachother and I began walking towards Jim's clothes. I think Tanya saw me so I gave her the finger on the lip look. Of course she didn't listen to me and Jim was soon staring me down as I froze.
"Get away from my stuff Joe." I froze and my throat became dry.
"C-Can I have the camper van keys please?" I asked, putting my hands in my pockets.
"He wants to sit in the van Jim. Let him have the keys." Zoe mumbled, putting her hand on Jims shoulder. He nodded and I reached into hos pocket. I pulled out the keys and shoved them in my own.
"Once you unlock the van come back with the keys. You can lock the door physically." Jim spat as I hurried out the door, my shoes squeaking loudly. I unlocked the door and hurried back to Jim's pants. I put them in the pocket then got in the camper van and locked the doors. I turned on my camera and looked in the front facing camera. I smiled as I looked at my cheek and Caspar's drawing was gone. I decided to call Oli since I was really bored and lonely. He picked up on the third ring.
"Joe! How's your day been going. I've been ill all day so I'm doing mighty dandy eh?"
I laughed as his comment and then sighed, "Marcus tried to drown me. So my days been great to wouldn't you say. I came out to the camper van to get away from them. I think Zoe's really sad I wont hang out with her and everyone else. Alfie was carrying her around the fucking deep end as if shes queen. I just wish I had someone Oli."
"You've got me Joesph. You'll be home before you know it. Then your Xbox controller can be used again. Well I guess James has been using it in the time being but thats okay right?" Oli asked making me laugh.
"James is fine Oli. That much I can promise to you. I've gotta go mate. There heading out of the indoor pool right now. There yet again going to call you my boyfriend. I guess I should've only told Zoe my sexuality. But I've gotta go mate." I mumbled as the car dooe opened.
"Bye Joe. Hopefully the rest of your day isnt shit!"
"Same to you Oliver. Talk later bye!"
They all got in and Marcus sat in the drivers seat. He turned the radio up as loud ad he could. I figured its because I'm right next to the speakers. It's not even that good! Hopefully when we get back home we can do something actually fun. I tried to talk to Zoe but Alfie gave me this look.
"If I'm not aloud to talk to Zoe thats fine." I mumbled under my breath getting a look from Tanya. She probably thinks I'm mental. Oh well.
