I woke up in the treehouse and smiled.
"One day left."
I hurried down the ladder and pulled open the front door. I saw everyone enjoying breakfast except Caspar.
"Hey Broseph." Zoe smiled as I looked around frantically.
"Where's Casp?" I questioned, standing on the bottom step.
"Still asleep why?" Jim smirked as I gave him a dirty look.
"Joe why don't you join us?" Tanya asked, smiling at me.
"I'd love to but I really need to talk to Caspar." I replied, running up the stairs. I came outside my bedroom door and sighed. I didn't want to see what my room had become. I grabbed the doorknob and spun it. Locked?! My room never had a lock. That's weird...
I went into Zoe's room and dug into her makeup and hair bag. I pulled out a bobbypin and picked the lock on my old room. I pulled it open partially and saw Caspar with his head in his hands sobbing. I feel like sobbing is a understatement. I walked in and closed the door behind him. Looking around at my room. It still looked like when I was in there. Some of my drawings of my grandfather and I thatching.
"Caspar?" I whispered, starting to walk towards him. He looked up at me and he wiped his eyes.
"Your not supposed to be in here." Caspar spat. I stopped once I was at the end of the bed.
"Do you need a hug?" I asked, my voice cracking. Caspar nodded and came into my arms. I kissed the top of his head which I'd never be able to do otherwise.
"Why are you even here Sugg?" he asked, staring at me.
"I came to say it's okay. It was scary to come out to all of you, considering the fact you hated me afterwards. You told Alfie. I think you should tell everyone else. They'll still love you. I'll still love you." I felt myself shaking as the last sentence came out of my mouth.
"Alfie told you?!" Caspar asked, backing away from me.
"Did you not hear anything else I said?"
"Yeah..." Caspar trailed off.
"Can I hold your hand?" I asked, looking into his eyes.
Caspar nodded and put his hand into mine. I could see the scars. He wore shirtsleeves all the time and now I've noticed. I bet down and kissed his wrists. I heard Caspar gasp and begin to sob again. I hugged him again.
"I'm going to go get Alfie. He seems to be the one you trust most." I mumbled, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Please don't leave Joe... Please." Caspar pleaded, rubbing his eyes.
"I won't go." I mumbled, letting him cry into my chest.
"CASPAR! JOE! CAN YOU COME DOWNSTAIRS?" Zoe called, as Caspar wiped his eyes.
"This never happened." Caspar mumbled heartlessly.
"But it did..." I whispered as Caspar walked out. I followed after him and stopped beside him.
"We were thinking of playing hide and seek. I know it's kinda childish but, hide and seek was always fun." Zoe smiled at me and I smiled back. There weren't many places to hide so it was a very easy yet fun game.
"Sounds fun." Caspar growled walking out the door.
"What happened?" Marcus asked, staring at me.
"It never happened." I mumbled, looking at my feet.
"What do you mean mate?" Alfie asked, actual concern on his face.
"Caspar doesn't want to talk about it." I replied, hurrying out the door. I stopped next to Zoe as everyone else walked outside looking at Caspar then at me. I gulped and Zoe put a hand on my shoulder.
"Jim can you be it please?" Zoe asked, twirling her hair with her other hand. He nodded and we all ran to hide in the 20 seconds we were given. I hid pretty close to Zoe because thats how we used to hide. I saw Alfie crouch with her and I sighed. I forgot for a second they were here. It was a happy second. I felt someone touch me and almost groaned out thinking it was Jim but it was Marcus.
"Why aren't you hiding with Caspar or something?" I whispered.
"I could ask you the same question." Marcus smirked and raised an eyebrow making me want to hit him. Then again I've always wanted to hit Marcus. The only thing that stops me is because he was the captain of the football team and I didn't want to mess with those guys.
"What happened between you and Caspar. Please!" Marcus begged as I saw Jim walking our way. I slapped a hand over his mouth and he began mumbling curses at me until he saw Jim to.
"Zoe move around to that side so he wont see you." I heard Alfie mumble as Jim drew closer. Jim pulled Alfie off the ground and then began walking off. I pulled my hand off of Marcus's mouth and he gave me a iterated look. I just shrugged and he asked me again what had happened upstairs.
"Caspar had just woke up and he was angry at me for being in the room. That's all." I lied, turning my attention away from him and looking for Jim.
"Liar." Marcus mumbled, looking from his side.
"If you just came here to bother me go away."
After what felt like ages Jim came and laughed at Marcus and I. We'd been fighting about what had happened. I stuck with my lie and he stuck with his guess of what happened. I looked around and saw he didn't have Zoe with him. I pulled her out of her spot and she began yelling at me. I winced and covered my face.
"I'm sorry Joe but, Alfie oh my gosh without your help I wouldn't have won."
I walked off and sat down on the couch, folding my arms.
"If you love her that much to make Zoe cheat thats fine."
