Yo, curious reader. Welcome to my kingdom of Jikook!*Gets rock thrown at head* Fine, fine, I shall get on with the story. By the way, I wrote this listening to Wedding Dress, so I shall toy with their feelings for a bit, but I promise, angst to fluff is the best thing in the fanfiction universe, really! Also, since Zi Tao is not part of EXO anymore, I consider his songs not K-pop. *Sips banana milk* (Taemin's favourite•3•)

舍不得(Reluctantly)

If you are wondering, yes I speak/write/understand Chinese/Mandarin. So I find the lyrics of this song really, really, really meaningful.

IV.

As the two danced, their souls became more entwined, resonating with each other. Their moves synchronised, thinking as one.

By the time they paused to take ten, they were exhausted to the bone, but thoroughly satisfied. They had perfected most of the dance, and they felt it was enough, at least for the day.

Jungkook was downing the rest of the water remaining in the bottle, while Jimin lay on the floor, on his stomach. They glanced at each other and lazily smiled at each other.

Why does he have to be so cute? Damn, My Jimin is really something else.

Wait.

"My"?

Oh god.

Jungkook's whole being stiffened when he came to the conclusion.

He was in love with Park Jimin.

He groaned, out loud and sprawled on the wooden flooring. He knew that Jimin couldn't possibly return his feelings. Jimin had someone else in mind, and it was definitely not him. He didn't treat Jungkook differently, only showed a little more love to him purely because he was the only one younger than Jimin in the group.

Sighing, he stole another glance at Jimin. Said person was staring back at him, brown eyes impossibly large. Jungkook decided that Jimin's eyes were his most redeeming feature. Jimin cocked his head, curious as to what got his dongsaeng all worked up.

"Are you okay?" Jimin voiced, not bothering to mask his worry.

Jungkook nodded hesitantly, but what he really wanted to do was dig a hole twenty feet deep and crawl into it. It felt like he wouldn't get over this love, not ever. And he was so afraid, afraid of getting his heart broken.

As Jimin stared at Jungkook's face, he knew. He knew that Jungkook had found someone else to love. Probably because he saw that same face the maknae was making right now for months-no-years reflected in his mirror.

Jimin looked away, not wanting to see the expression Jungkook had for someone else. He stalked over to the speaker and plugged in his phone. Music blasted from it and Jimin risked a glance at Jungkook.

The maknae was looking back at him, and they both understood the unspoken words

Dance with me.

And they did.(This is starting to sound like the twelve dancing princesses or something haha). Things started out as a dance battle, with each of them lashing out with individual moves, but gradually turned into them dancing in sync.

Jungkook thought that if he had the power to make time stop, he would freeze this moment for eternity, just so he could bask in the company and attention of the other.

Of someone who didn't even remotely return his feelings.

Pushing all negative thoughts to the back of his mind, he tried to savour the rare moment where they were both alone, and nothing was wrong. But still, a stray thought remained stubbornly planted in the core of his being.

Jimin, on the other hand, was paying close attention to the younger. He saw the slight changes in Jungkook's expression, saw what a normal person could not see. He saw the hesitation, the heartache, the denial. He saw it all. He could almost see the the cogs of Jungkook's mind ticking, whirring. And he gazed sadly at him, emptying his mind, save for one thought.

If only he loved me back...
