Friends with benifits

The following day I really thought about going to the dance, like really thought about it. I have like this whole plan figured out.

"Lindsey?" I hear Colby ask from next to me.

"Yeh." I say as I feel Colby plop his arm around my shoulder.

"When are you getting your eye surgery?" Colby asked.

My heart started thumping. My therapist called yesterday telling me the day and time it would take place.

"Febuary 1st at 4:30 p.m!" I yelled squeezing my arms around Colby's torso.

"That's awesome Lindsey! That's in like a month! And best of all it's before the dance!" I heard Colby say kissing my fore-head.

If you didn't know us you would probably think we are dating. Oh how I wish that would be a reality. I guess we're friends with benefits.

"Wanna go out? You know like after school?" Colby asked me.

"Sure." I said smiling wildly.

Colby knows I like going on adventures with him especially if we get to go and do random nonsense.

"Alright." He says placing his hand around my waist as we walked back to our last period class.

"Come on!" I say excitedly as Colby helps pack my school bag.

"I'm almost done weirdo." He laughs.

I hear him close my locker door. I picked up his hand and intertwined our fingers and pulled us out of the education to dedication.

"Where are we going?" I ask as I use my stick and wave it around as Colby holds my wrist for extra help.

"Wanna go to.... The hill?" Colby asks.

A smile as big as my hand grew on my face.

"Yes!" I yell.

"Okay, Come on." Colby says and walks us over to his car.

We drive in a comforting silence. It didn't take long to drive there cause once I felt Colby stop the car he opened the car door on my right and helped me out.

"Here you go princess." He said and lead me to where we normally sit.

The cold air hit my face and I smiled. I set my stick beside me as Colby and I sit on the rough pavement.

"It's a nice feeling, isn't it?" Colby asks.

"Yeah, it really is." I sigh feeling more comfortable around Colby.

"Would you mind... I'd uh... If you would go to uhh my surgery with me?" I ask Colby nervously.

"It would be a pleasure." He says softly.

I couldn't wait to finally be able to know what Colby looks like. That will be the day I will be forever happy. To know what the world looks like. To finally be able to go to movies, drive, text, and ride bikes or something.

"What you thinking bout'" Colby asks me.

"Your Gini Pigs." I say with a laugh.

"You being serious." He laughs back.

"Nah." I sigh. "I'm thinking about what it will be like to see." I say while sighing. After a long silence Colby breaks it.

"We better get going soon." Colby says.

"Right." I say standing up with Colby's help.

Colby drives me home and once we get to my house he gives me a kiss on the cheek and I immediately blush. I love it when he gives me kisses, even though we're just friends.

"Bye Colbs." I say.

"Bye sunflower." He replies back.
