Sunflower

Surgery (Part 2.)

Colby and I chatted a bit while my mom took a nap. I missed Colby's sweet voice even though it may have only been three hours I was in my surgery, but that's a long time for me. I suddenly got cold and shivered.

"Is my little Sunflower cold?" Colby asked me.

"Y-yeah." I chattered.

I felt warm hands lift me from my hospital bed. I then realized what he was trying to do.

"Colby I can put on my own jacket." I laugh.

"Well I'm cold too." Colby says placing me down on his lap.

I went serious, my heart started to pump. Colby laid me gently on his chest. I felt warmer by the second.

"Better?" Colby asked.

What's this? Between Colby and I? I can't take this anymore! Does Colby like me or not?! Ugh...

"Yeah." I say softly curling up in a ball, Colby's heartbeat lead me into a nice sleep.

I felt my surroundings without opening my eyes and felt that I was on my bed.

"Lindsey, honey." My mom says calmly.

"Yes mom."

"I need you to open your eyes slowly." She says to me.

My heart starts to race.

"Is Colby here?!" I ask frantically.

It's happening this is the time I'm going to see for the first time.

"Right here." Colby says.

I sigh with a big smile. I slowly open my eyes to see the cutest boy in front of me with piercing blue eyes that could steal your sole with one look. I knew exactly who this stranger was, he's just so perfect. How his dark hair sways to the right tucked underneath his black beanie a smile topping off the perfect person he is. Tears caked my eyes as Colby had the biggest smile on his face, we were staring in each other's eyes perfectly silent.

"Can you see me Sunflower?" Colby asks his smile not leaving his face.

My eyes gave up. Soft happy tears raced down my cheeks. I wrapped my arms around Colby's neck and cried into his neck. I wanted to scream 'I love you!' But that would ruin so much of everything we've been through so I said nothing. I held tightly to the back of Colby's hair as happy tears rolled down my face and on his shirt. Colby kissed my cheek five times in the matter of two milliseconds which made me laugh.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this day." Colby says hugging me tighter.

"Your right. And you don't know how long I've waited for this." I say with a sigh.

Colby and I stayed in that hugging position for about thirty minutes. It was nice. We finally got to go out of the hospital two hours later. When we left Colby held my hand. I'm so happy I found Colby. I love him so much and he doesn't even know it.

"Lindsey! I have some good news!" My mom yells from downstairs.

I smile and run down the hallway and into the living room she was currently in.

"Yes." I say walking over to her.

"Well you know how we moved here to get your Physical Training and all?" My mom says with a big smile.

"Yes." I say while nodding my head.

"Well, since you don't need it anymore we can move back to California!" My mom says happily.

"What?!" I say getting angry.

"Isn't this what you wanted?" My mom asks sadly.

"No! I'm gonna loose Colby! And worst of all I won't ever see him again! Nononnono." I say now tugging on my hair.

"Honey I'm sorry but we're moving after your dance thing." My mom says sternly.

"But-"

"No buts were moving!" My mom says angrily.

I wanted to scream kick! Why would she do this to me! I ran up to my room and flopped on my bed and started sulking. There is nothing I can do. I'm gonna loose my beautiful Colby.

And it's all my fault.
