Colby drops me off back at my house and I start to get ready Colby is going to pick me up later. I go into the bathroom and turn on the shower. I then start to play some music, okay I know what your thinking, yeah haters who cares if I listen to music while I clean myself okay! I wash my hair and wash my face. Afterwards I pull out the dress I got and pull it on. I go straight back to my bathroom and decide to curl my hair, I mean this is the last day I'll be in Kansas right. I sigh and once I finish my hair I look at myself. I don't look to bad, I guess. I stare at my blue eyes and just take them in. My mom wasn't wrong about me having blue eyes, but where is the uniqueness she described me as? The dimples, freckles? Nothing just plain. I sigh at myself and walk back into my room. I then glance at my clock."7:30." I sigh.
Colby is supposed to pick me up at 7:45. I sit on my bed and take in the surroundings of my room. Blue walls, a queen size bed with a white duvet with my favorite song lyrics on it. (Song in tab)
"I want to write you a song, that's as beautiful as you are sweet." I whisper tracing my index finger over the words.
I then slip on my Vanz and flop myself back on my bed my hair laying on the bed. I stay there for a good fifteen minutes then I hear the doorbell ring, I jump up and run to the front door. I smiled when I saw Colby in a blue tux.
"Blue?" I say with a big smile.
"Hey that's all they had!" He says getting defensive.
"Come in here Colbs." I say pulling his hand inside.
"Okay Sunflower." He whispers in my ear, I blushed.
I lead Colby into the kitchen to be greeted by mom. Me and my mom haven't exactly been on speaking terms.
"Can we get a picture." My mom says tearing up.
"Sure." Colby says.
I smile and feel Colby's large hands clamp onto my waist softly. My back straightened. Colby lays his chin on my head and I smiled, waiting for the picture Colby tickled me. I giggled as I felt him chuckle, my mom snapped a picture. Colby immediately ran over to my mom.
"You guys are adorable." My mom says looking at the photo.
I was laughing while Colby's chin was on my head as he was smiling wildly.
"Would you mind sending that to me." Colby asks me.
"Nope." I say quickly sending it to him.
After that Colby and I ran towards his car. All of a sudden I think of my future. Thoughts about leaving Colby swelling my heart made it hard to breath.
"Are you-"
Colby couldn't finish speaking cause I burst into tears.
"Sunflower? What's wrong?" He asks softly.
I sniffle and look into his blue eyes.
I frown and look down at my hands."I'm moving and it's all my fault." I say sobbing harder.
"Hey, shh." He says to me giving me a side hug.
"Pretend it's another day but better." Colby says.
"That's kinda hard to do." I reply back.
"Here." He says, he turns on the car and drives to a seven eleven.
"Why are we here?" I ask Colby.
"Come on we don't want to be late." He says.
I quickly walk in with Colby, Colby then leads me towards a lady's bathroom.
"Quickly go in." He says to me.
We both go in and he moves me so I stand in front of a mirror.
"Now smile." He says making a funny face.
I laugh and look away from the mirror.
"Say my name."
"Colby." I whisper.
"Louder." He warns.
"Colby." I laugh.
"Better?" He asks me with a smile.
I look over my shoulder at him and nod my head.
"Good cause we have a school dance to crash."
