Chapter 19

(RK's POV)
(3 weeks later...)

   Mr. Bakshi organized a small party in celebration of the film. I quickly agreed. I wanted to spend time with Madhu instead, before she went back to her home. I didn't give her a chance to protest. She was coming and that was final. The party was in half an hour. Luckily Madhu got her cast off two days ago, and now Anu had fully recovered as well.

   Anu came out ready in a sky blue Anarkali. She was looking beautiful in it. Yash had showed up too. I told him to take a break from office work and to come enjoy with us.

"I would've been taking a break sooner if you didn't steal my PA." He said. I winked at him, and he shook his head.

"Your PA is just too irresistible Yash. I had to steal her." I smirked. He shook his head, chuckling to himself.

   I saw Anu staring at Yash, and she was blushing. Hmmmmm....

"Speaking of my PA, where is she?"

"Right here." I heard her say, and looked to the top of the staircase. She was wearing a sparkly, red sari. It was simple, but it made her look even more beautiful. She stepped down the steps like an angel from heaven.

"Beautiful..." I said to myself.

   She stopped in front of me once she reached the bottom of the steps.

"Hi Yash." She waved. "I'm sorry RK stole me." She laughed. "Ready to go?" She asked me.

"I'm always ready." I winked. I linked arms with her and led her out to the car. Anu and Yash followed behind.

   We drove through the streets in awkward silence. Well just me and Madhu. Anu had engaged Yash in her endless talks. I took every spare moment to catch a glimpse of Madhu. She was watching the trees pass by through the window. Occasionally she would turn to see me. She gave me a small smile and continued to look outside. We soon reached the party. Mr. Bakshi was waiting outside for us.

"RK sir! Glad you could make it." He said. He tried to hug me, but I stopped him.

"Come this way sir." He said.

   We walked inside into the grand hall. He had it decorated well, up to my standards. I saw Dipali out of the corner of my eye. She was glaring at us, and she had a bruise on her cheek. I bit my tongue to hold back a laugh.

   Madhu looked at me. Then she followed my gaze to Dipali. She laughed to herself.

"Woah Madhu! Did you do that to her?" Anu whispered between us. She was giggling. Dipali batted her hair at us and turned away.

"Of course my Jungli Billi did it." I said.

   I left Madhu, Yash, and Anu there to talk while I got myself a drink.

"One vodka." I told the bartender.

"Of course sir." He filled the shot glass and I drank it in one gulp. It had been a while since I had liquor. I was just about to down another shot when someone tapped me on the shoulder. Madhu.

"What are you doing RK?" She tapped her foot.

"Having some drinks sexy." I drank the next shot. She blushed strawberry red.

"It's injurious to health." She said firmly, snatching the shot glass from my hands. She smirked. She looked even more sexy.

"Ahaannnn....I like it." I said.

"No more drinks for you RK."

"Too bad. That's RK's style." I pulled her close to me by her waist. I took another shot glass from behind.
