(RK's POV)

Armaan snickered and played around with the gun. Malik tried to step closer, but Armaan pointed the gun at him to stop him in his tracks.

"Drop your gun! Or else I'll shoot them both!" He threatened. Malik looked at us briefly before letting his gun drop into the dust. "And you thought you were smarter than I was." He laughed into the sky. Malik tried to move forward again, but Armaan kept stopping him. "Where are you going, uncle? You're too old to stop me. I could knock you out with one slap." This angered all of us, especially Madhu.

"How dare you talk to him like that?!" She yelled. He just laughed.

"I can do whatever I want sweetheart." He took a step closer to us. "And you can't stop me. No one can."

Malik took a few more steps, clearly having a plan in mind. He let his shoe grind into the ground, wanting Armaan to hear him. As expected, he did, and fired a shot. Malik ducked and lunged at his legs, making him fall to the ground and drop the gun. I picked it up and pointed it at him.

Malik tackled him and pinned him to the ground, throwing punches at his face and chest. I told Madhu to step back and guarded Malik. Armaan swung a few punches at him but missed. He couldn't get up either.

"RK...take Madhu away from here!" He yelled at me.

"Malik, we can't leave you alone here. Those goons will also be near the car. It's dangerous for all three of us."

"Then take her into the building over there. I can handle the situation here." He had his fingers around Armaan's throat.

"Madhu..." I called her over. "I'm coming back." I told Malik before taking Madhu into the small building. I handed her the gun. "If anyone suspicious comes in, don't hesitate to shoot." She nodded through her tears.

"RK, please be careful. I can't lose either of you."

"Both Malik and I will be fine. I promise you that." I kissed her forehead and ran back out. Armaan was close to unconsciousness.

"RK, call the police. I've almost got him." I took out my phone and dialed the Commissioner's number. He agreed to come down with a few of his capable officers.

"They're coming." I answered. I walked over to Armaan and stared at his bloodied face. He completely deserved this. Malik found his gun and tucked it into his back pocket. I kicked Armaan around a few times, forcing my shoe onto his chest. He passed out soon after that. "We can leave as soon as the police arrive."

"Of course." We guarded his body. The goons never returned, and Madhu was safe and sound. All we had to do was wait. Armaan lay very still on the ground.

The police arrived sooner than we expected, but also just as Armaan was regaining consciousness. He turned his head to each side, confused as he was pulled up and handcuffed. The commissioner escorted Armaan himself.

Armaan didn't seem to put up a fight, which came as a surprise. Then again, he was weak, both physically and mentally. He smirked at me again, just before he was hitting into the van. He used his handcuffs to choke the commissioner and grab his gun.

"Everyone drop your weapons now!" He threatened. "Else this commissioner is dead!"

They all dropped their weapons. Armaan pointed the gun at the commissioner's temple. "Now release me."

A constable with the key stepped forward and removed the cuffs. Armaan let go of his grip on the commissioner, the gun still positioned at his head. He began to back away slowly. I saw his car parked away at a distance. He was planning to flee.

"Armaan Sinha, surrender yourself to the law." The commissioner said.

"Don't order me around! Nobody orders me around."

"Your punishment will be lessened if you cooperate."

"Cooperation my foot. I'm leaving commissioner. You can't stop me." He laughed. I was about to tackle him to the ground as he took off when a gun shot went off. It got Armaan's leg and forced him to the ground. The police pinned him down, arms behind his back, and cuffed him well this time. We all turned back to trace the shot.

Madhu was standing there, looking like her jungli billi self. She was angry. She came up to Armaan, looking him in the eye as he was being put into the van.

"Go to hell." She said firmly, giving him one final slap. He glared as the van drove off.

She turned and ran towards me. I held my arms out, letting her jump into my arms for a hug. She let all her emotions out, drenching my shirt with her tears.

"I love you RK." She said. Malik smiled from afar.

I looked into her eyes and kissed her gently. "I love you Madhu. Let's go home." I said. She nodded, taking my hand into hers. It never felt this nice.
