(RK's POV)
"RK, what song are we dancing to?" Madhu asked.
"Don't know. Just go with the flow." I said, casually.
She shrugged as we walked onto the stage. We took our places right in front of Armaan. His face was tomato red. I smirked at him.
"RK! Pay attention." Madhu said. The music started.
Hey kaash, kaash yun hota
Har shaam saath tu hota
Chup-chaap dil na yun rota
Har shaam saath tu hota
I held Madhu's hand and we began to dance. I pulled her towards me, then pushing her back with a twirl. I liked it.
Guzara ho tere bin guzara ab mushqil hai lagta
Nazara ho tera hi nazara ab har din hai lagta
I lifted her into in air and spun in place. Her head fell back, her dark silky hair swaying along with her.
Hale dil tujhko sunata
Dil agar yeh bol pata
Bakhuda tujhko hai chahta jaan
She twirled across the stage, her hand still in mine.
Tere sang jo pal bitaata
Waqt se main woh maang laata
Yaad karke muskuraata haan
Woo oo ..
We broke into a passionate slow dance. I found myself staring into her eyes. Her dark swirling eyes.
Tu meri raah ka sitaara
Tere bina hoon main awaara
Jab bhi tanhaai ne sataaya
Tujhko besaakhta pukaara
Chaahat hai meri la fanaa
Par meri jaan dil, main hoon rakhta haan
Haal e dil tujhko sunata
Dil agar yeh bol paata
Bakhuda tujhko hai chahta jaan
Tere sang jo pal bitaata
Waqt se main woh maang lata
Yaad karke muskuraata haan
Woo....
You're the one
I love whats meant to be
I know you feel it too
Each time I look at you
We looked into each others' eyes.
Khwaabon ka kab tak loon sahara
Ab toh tu aaja khudara
Meri yeh dono paagal aankhein
Har pal maange tera nazaara
Aa samjhaaun inko kis tarah
Inpe mera bas nahin chalta haan
Haal e dil tujhko sunata
Dil agar yeh bol paata
Bakhuda tujhko hai jata jaan
Tere sang jo pal bitata
Waqt se main woh maang lata
Yaad karke muskuraata haan
Woo oo...
I ended the dance by taking Madhu in my embrace and leaning her down. My face overlooking hers. Everyone clapped for us. We took a bow.
"Madhu, you are a great dancer." I whispered to her.
"Lots of compliments today. Are you okay?"
"I only compliment people who deserve them. You happen to be one of those people."
She blushed. I watched her. She was impressive in every way.
(Madhu's POV)
I looked for Armaan in the crowd. He was gone. Where did he go?
"RK! Where is Armaan?"
"Probably vandalizing the decorations. He lost his head in the middle of the dance." He chuckled.
"Lets go down." I said.
He took my hand before we descended. The crowd grew silent. He kissed it. I jumped a bit, surprised. He gave me a wild smirk. The crowd cheered. Then we stepped down from the stage.
"RK...I'm going to get something to drink. I'll be back." I said. He nodded.
I went to where the drinks were.
"Orange juice please." I asked the waiter.
"Sure ma'am." I smiled at him.
He got the juice a few minutes later.
"Thank you." I said, reaching for the glass.
I must've lost the grip on the glass, because it slipped through my fingers and soiled my sari.
"I'm so sorry ma'am." The waiter said.
"It's fine. It's not your fault." I told him.
"Where is the washroom?"
"Go straight from here and then take the first right." He said.
"Thanks." I hurried to the washroom.
I took some of the tissues and wiped as of the sari as I could. The door creaked open. I turned to see who it was. Armaan. I took a step back. His steps were wobbly and his eyes looked disoriented. He was drunk.
"A...a..rmaan......what do you want?"
"I want you back Madhu." He said.
"Over my dead body!" I yelled at him.
"Please Madhu.....you won't be happy with that RK! You'll find your true love in me." He stumbled forward, a couple inches away from me.
"Go away!" I pushed him away.
He stumbled back. I thought he would fal back, but someone caught him.
"RK!" I said.
"Aww poor Armaan. He doesn't even know how to get drunk properly." He dumped Armaan outside and came back to me.
"You okay Madhu?" He put his hand in my shoulder.
"Yeah....I'm fine." I said, my voice shaky.
"Come outside. Don't worry about your sari."
I tried to make myself look normal again. We walked outside. Everyone came up to me and complimented my dance skills. They uplifted my mood. RK clung to me like glue for the rest of the party. He kept looking for Armaan.
"RK, just forget him. Don't spoil your mood." I told him as we were leaving the party.
"Let me get you home." He said.
RK opened the door to the passenger seat and sat me inside. He got in and slammed his door shut.
The road we took was dark and quiet. It made sense. The party had reached the late hours.
"Madhu, call home and tell them that you are coming." I nodded and pulled out my phone. Malik answered.
"Hello Madhu? Where are you?" He asked.
"Don't worry Malik. I'm on my way. Be home in 20 minutes."
"Alright...take care." He hung up.
RK was quiet. I tried to break the silence but couldn't think of anything to say. Suddenly, the car started to make weird noises. Then it stopped running. RK got out and opened the hood. I got out as well.
"What happened?"
"Don't know. I'm not a car expert. All I know is that something stopped working."
"Is there a garage nearby?"
"Not that I know of." He said.
We stood there thinking about what to do. RK had called Bittuji and let him know about it. Bittuji said that the mechanic can only come in the morning...and that all the drivers had left, so we couldn't get another car. I informed Malik as well.
"What do we do now?" I asked. The dark scared me.
"Lets spend the night in the car. We have no other choice." He said.
"Okay." I said.
Night with the superstar....how will that go?
