The song for the chapter is Moving in the Dark by Neon Trees(:

*Camille's POV*

Zayn and I made our way to his car when their rehearsal ended. Zayn and I had planned on going out for a little while tonight. It was lightly snowing; not enough to do any damage, but enough that it stuck to your hair and clothes. The sun was concealed by ugly gray clouds, but I noticed that as the sky got dark, subtly transitioning into night, the Christmas lights that had yet to be taken down were shining brilliantly from building to building and from tree to tree.

I was thoroughly impressed by the boys' performance in the studio and I will gladly admit that I didn't want it to end. I was happy to be going somewhere with Zayn tonight so we could have some time together, but I was so blown away by their performance that I would have stayed their all night listening to them sing. We hadn't exactly thought of anything to do yet or any place to go, but I'm sure one of us would eventually think of something creative and productive. As of now, we were on our way to dinner.

Zayn hopped into the driver's seat and I went around to the passenger's seat. The first thing he did after turning on the car was put in the Neon Trees CD. I wiggled my eyebrows at him and turned to face the window, drumming my fingers on my thighs to the beat of the song.

"Started in the morning

My head was getting hazy

Couldn't keep my feet on the ground

She was making love to the mirror in the bathroom

Didn't hear me talking out loud

Bubblegum, lipstick

Baby's got me nervous

Something's got a hold of my feet

You just wanna go where your problems won't follow

Baby that's okay with me . . ."

I was so grateful that Zayn liked music the way I did. It's how we got so close. A lot of the time, we'd just sit and listen to our phones because music is one thing we know the both of us enjoy. I wasn't embarrassed to sing in front of him. Sure, he was famous for his singing abilities and I was just a girl that liked to sing, but I know that I wasn't too bad at it, so why not express myself the way I wanted to?

Throughout my middle school and high school career I participated in every play I could. I loved dramas and the acting, singing, choreography, and hard work that went into perfecting the performances. I loved the anxious rushes that came with performing in front of audiences, so I don't think singing in front of one person -- my boyfriend -- was too embarrassing or nerve wracking. He didn't seem to mind it either so I guess it was a mutual feeling.

We got out out of the car and started walking into into T.G.I. Friday's when my stomach grumbled. I chuckled under my breath and awkwardly wrapped my arms around my stomach.

Zayn spun his keys on his finger and laughed before shoving them in his pocket. "I heard that, by the way."

"I don't care. You know I'm always fat and hungry."

"Uh, uh, uh. Not fat. I hate that word. It makes me cringe."

I mentally rolled my eyes. "You know I didn't mean it like that."

"I don't know that."

"Yes you do."

"No I don't."

Oh my, God why was I dating a smartass? "Fine," I said. "I am always hungry and I eat everything in sight."

He nodded in approval. "There. That's better. At least it's the truth."
