***IMPORTANT:  I apologize x1000 for not updating in 5 weeks!  I apologize x1000 for also not giving you guys a heads up that I was going on hiatus.  I hosted a foreign exchange student for three weeks so it consumed too much of my time to write.  Then, two weeks before that, I worked myself to death getting work finished for my classes so I could be ahead while my exchange student was here!  I am back for good!  Pinky promise(;  Because I left you guys hanging without a notice, I wrote a super long chapter to hopefully compensate for depriving you guys of Triple Dog Dare.  You guys are the best and I love each and every one of you.

The song for this chapter is Rainy Season by Hunter Hayes(:  It's scary how well the this chapter and the song go to together o.O

*Camille's POV*

I padded down the hallway of my apartment with the small shoebox in hand.  I placed it carefully on my bed and searched my closet for my converse.  After lacing them up tightly, I exited my bedroom, grabbing my purse and the box on the way out.  The time on my phone read 7:30 and I decided that it wasn't too late to visit Zayn at his house.

I sprinted to my car as fast as possible to prevent getting drenched from the rain pounding roughly outdoors.  My free hand fiddled for the driver's side door and quickly swung it open. I closed the door and attempted to shake the cold water out of my hair, dismissing how it soaked my seats.  I rummaged through my purse and found my keys to start the car.

If there was one thing that nerved me to no end, it would be driving in heavy rain.  However, I REALLY disliked driving in heavy rain at night.  It made me timid to even think about, so I remembered to drive extra careful.  Zayn's house was only fifteen minutes or so away so I wasn't nearly as anxious as I usually would be driving along the streets of London.  In fact, it seemed like such a short drive from my house to his this time around.  Perhaps it was from my cloudy head and overflowing thoughts.

Once I arrived, I pulled nimbly into Harry's and Zayn's driveway.  I dreaded having to get out of the car because I knew I would get soaking wet again.  I pulled the keys out of the ignition and stared blankly at the front door that was no more than 30 feet away.  I pulled the shoebox onto my lap and drummed my fingers lightly along the top in time with the droplets of water pelting the roof of my car.

After a good minute or so of self-convincing, I groaned and forced myself out of the car and up to their door.  I sighed in relief at the shelter the porch provided me with.  I raised a fist to knock on the door and lightly shifted my weight from foot to foot as I waited for someone to unlock it,

The lock was opened and the door swung inward.  Harry stood before me but I barely had the chance to get a good glimpse of him because as soon as the door was opened, he turned back around and headed up the stairs without so much as a greeting, wave, insult or sneer… nothing.  Not that it was a big surprise that he did or that I even really cared, but even a disappointed sigh would be a sufficient way of being greeted by him at this point.

I stepped inside the familiar entrance and slid my shoes off on the mat by the front door.  I set my purse and gift down on the kitchen table and headed into the living room to find Zayn for myself.

A single lamp was lit in the far corner of the room, illuminating it just enough to see without the brightness being too overbearing.  A large, red blanket was thrown over the frame of Zayn's body as he lied on his back, his face turned ever so slightly.  He was soundly asleep, the only resonance coming from the low volume of the television.

I ambled way over as quietly as possible and sat beside him on the unused space of the sofa.  His face seemed peaceful and his features were soft.  Long, dark lashes lied delicately across his cheeks and his fingertips clutched lightly at the hem of the blanket.  I couldn't help myself as my right hand came up to brush against his warm cheek, the feeling so familiar to me as my thumb ran gently over its entirety.  He exhaled sharply, but remained asleep.  The mere thought of leaving this stunningly beautiful boy left me heartbroken every time it crossed my mind.  A queasy feeling crept its way into the pit of my stomach and my heart felt empty.
