"WHAAAAAAAAT!?" Xyred shreiked... It was so loud I felt that the house even shook!
I released my ears and stared at his troubled face... Sabi na nga't magrereact ito eh, "Surprised?"
Lumapit siya saakin at hinawakan ang magkabila kong balikat... Tapos inalog-alog ako!!! "YHUKIIII!? ANO KA BA!?!? ARE YOU TRYING TO COMMIT SUICIDE!? IF ONLY LOOKS COULD KILL MALAMANG PATAY KA NA KAHAPON PA!!! BAKIT HINDI KA NAG BACK OUT!?!?!?!" Ano ba naman itong lalaking ito!!
"Could you let go of me first, please?" Binitawan naman niya ako. I felt like I was gonna barf...
"Explain this ridiculous display, Yhuki..." Then held his nose bridge.
"First of all... It wasn't my decision to pick HER as my student. It clearly states in the rules that the smartest will teach the dumbest." He chuckled a little. "Second, If I backed out... It's like I'm letting go of my place as the Smart-Aleck in Cedarwell. They all gave me too much pressure because they expect me to find a way." Tumango-tango lang siya. "And third... Maybe it's time to prove that I could do it."
He just raised a brow, "What do you mean?"
I sighed and sat on the couch, "That I could talk like an average person for once..." Then held my face, "I know it's crazy... But I've gotta try... I'm gonna do some serious speech someday..."
Tumabi saakin si Xyred at tinapik-tapik shoulders ko, "I'm glad you're taking one step at a time... And... Um... Uh..."
Tumingin ako sakanya... Naging seryoso na yung mukha ko, "Xyred...."
"Well... Hehe... It's a funny story..." Then played with his fingers.
"What did you do?" I asked straightening up my position.
"Uh... Kasi... Mayroong debate showdown Next friday... Nagtanong si Sir kung sino pwede saamin or kung mayroong kilala... Maraming tumingin saakin tapos bigla nila binanggit pangalan mo..." My eyes widened from what I am hearing! "Tapos prinessure nila ako na... Xyred diba bestfriend mo si Yhuki baby ko or kung ano pa ang tawag nila sayo." I just groaned in that information... "Tapos sa huli... I.. Uh..."
"Xyred...." Then crossed my arms.
"Urgh! Sorry Yhuki pero... I... I suggested you..." Then hid his face... I was only shocked and lost for words...
Tumayo ako and pinatong yung baba ko sa kamay ko... Talaga bang malas ako or tipikal na sunod-sunod ang pagkamalas ko since saturday pa...
"Yhuki?" Nakatalikod lang ako sakanya.... I just can't believe this... Everybody knows that I'm an introvert since I first came in this university last year... Halata naman dahil nakajacket ako noon!
"Yhuki wag ka magalit, please?" I still refused to turn... Xyred knows my issues then he would put me up to this?
"I know that this seems hell for you but... Maybe this is the chance you wanted to prove..." Nang pagkasabi niya nun... I froze.
"Kasasabi mo lang kanina diba? You're tired of being looked on the other way just because you can't talk like the rest of us. Understand me naman... Kahit alam kong mahirap para sa iyo ito... Alam kong kaya mo din ito. Ikaw nga si Smart-Aleck diba? Lagi nakakagawa ng paraan?" I sighed after his long convincing speech... Tama naman siya..
