A/N: this is another narrator's POV because I really enjoyed writing on this style so I will continue writing like this. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do."Shakespeare?" She yells through the intercommunicator in shock and he chuckles. "Shakespeare!!! I've missed you so much!! What are you doing here?" Effy is yelling with excitement. She can feel happiness growing inside her. It's a feeling that she haven't had for a very long time. She didn't even remember anymore how the feeling was.
"If you could let me in, I'll explain." He chuckles again and she automatically opens the door. She's almost jumping with excitement. She doesn't even question herself why she's acting like that. She doesn't give a shit.
Sally returns from the bathroom and sees Effy with the biggest smirk she had ever seen on Effy's face.
"Who was at the door?" Sally asks really suspicious and trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Maybe she's just high, Sally thought to herself.
"William is here!" Effy sequels. William? But who the well is William? Sally gives her a confused expression. "Axl, Axl Rose, one of the famous boys!" She says, opening the door and revealing Axl's figure. Now Sally knows who it is. It's the handsome read head that Effy met a year ago. He's even more handsome in person. He is definitively sexy as hell. One of the hottest and sexiest guys that Sally had ever seen. It cuts her breath and she likes it. He's wearing some ripped blue jeans with a classic white shirt and some white converse shoes. The outfit is really simple and casual but it fits him perfectly. "Sally, this is William, or Axl, whatever you want. William, this is Sally."
"Hi." She waved. She can't stop staring at him. He is beautiful.
"Hi." He waves back. Axl notices Sally staring at him and it's weird. Nothing that he wouldn't be used to, but it feels weird. He glances Effy who's closing the door. She turns her gaze to him with a big smile.
"Please, have a seat. I'm sorry for the mess." She says a little embarrassed for her house being a complete dirt hole and William is seeing the mess she is. This feeling is strange. She's never felt embarrassed about stuff like that, so she decides to ignore it.
Axl sits on the messy couch and Effy sits beside him. Sally decides to sit on the armchair that is in front of the couch. She feels like she's watching a movie.
Before looks back at Effy, Axl observes the room around him. It is a mess. Vodka bottles are everywhere, some bottles of Jack Daniel's too. Little plastic bags, remains of candles, papers, lighters, garbage. And the room smells like the windows haven't been opened for a very long period of time. He feels that there's something wrong. There's something wrong with her. He finally turns back his gaze to her and tries to read her. But her eyes don't say much. He can't decipher if it is happiness and joy or pain and sorrow. She's unreadable. It is something he picked up the first time he saw her and he loved that. He loves her eyes. They are so mysterious, magic; you can't even decipher the right color of her eyes. Are they green, blue or grey?"So... What brings you to this end of the world?" She asks. Oh boy, she has missed him so much. And Saul too. How much she wishes that he could be there now.
"I-I wanna invite you..." Axl starts. He seems a bit hesitant, afraid. Effy shows a confused expression. "I want you to go with me to L.A. for a month." Her jaw drops. L.A.? Wow. Effy is frozen. She doesn't know what to say, how to react at his invitation. She wants to say yes, but she can't. She can't leave. She's stuck to this sorrow. And she can't leave Sally.
"I-I'm sorry, I can't." Her voice cracks. Axl opens his eyes, surprised. Even Sally is surprised. Why would she say no?
"What? Why?" Axl can't believe the she denied his offer. He won't give up anyway. He came from so far to receive a no. He won't come back home with empty hands.
"It's just..." Effy doesn't know what to say. There are so many reasons to say why she can't go but on the other hand, she wants so much to go. It's the opportunity of her life. Opportunities like that just appear once in life. But Effy doesn't want William and Saul to watch her lifestyle. She doesn't want them to know how deep she has hit. Not because she is embarrassed, no, but because she knows it is painful for others seeing her drown herself like that. "I can't just go to L.A. for an entire month..." She can't think about a better excuse. She's high, her mind is spinning around and she can't think straight.
"Hold up, Axl." Sally says, raising her hand. It is hard to see her figure, but the weak light from the candle is enough to see her silhouette and her hand rising. "I'll deal with her." She turns to Effy. "Effy, come with me to your room." She demands, setting up onto her feet and taking with her an Effy groaning behind her.
Effy's room is dark; the only light you can see is from the window which isn't well closed. But the light is enough for the girls to see each other's faces.
"Effy, what's wrong with you?" Sally snaps. She knows she can make Effy go to L.A. with Axl. Sally is the only one who can persuade her. Effy is a stubborn girl with fixed ideas. It's really hard to change her mind.
"What do you mean?" Effy asks, confused.
"You're going to accept Axl's offer and you're going to L.A.. You're going, no matter what you say." Sally says firmly, watching Effy's confused expression growing up.
"A-and how about you??" Effy asks. She can't go knowing that her best friend will be here alone all by herself.
"I'm going to London with the band and you're going to L.A. with Axl." Sally says already knowing that she's changed Effy's mind. The job is done and everyone is happy.
"Are you sure?" A smile rises on Effy's face. Sally nods with a smile, full of pleasure. "Oh my god, Sally you're the best." She hugs Sally tight. Effy heads to the door and sees William sat down on the couch in a relaxed position smoking a cigarette. "I'll go with you, I just need to pack." She grins and his expression changes to a big, happy and excited smile.
"Really?" Oh boy, he couldn't believe she was going with him. He's so happy. All he wants now is to jump off the couch and go hug her. But he doesn't. He just smiles at her seeing her nod in agreement. "Go pack then." She turns around and goes to pack her clothes.
Sally steps inside the living room and sits down on the armchair where she was sat before. Before she could sit down, Axl hands her a little piece of paper with numbers on it.
"What's this?" She asks, surprised.
"Every time you want to talk with Effy, call this number." Axl says with a grin and she grins back, sitting down.
Minutes later, with the living room filled with pure silence, Effy appears.
"I'm done, and now?" She grins.
