Chapter 19

As usual Roc was in the gym trying to exsercise his troubles away, he wanted to kiss Zoe so badly last night. He wanted her to be in his arms, not the guest bedroom. He was the one she should be with, not Princeton. It wasn't fair! He should have told her that Princeton was cheating, but what good would it do? She wouldn't believe him! Is he suppose to stay on the sidelines forever, and for how long? Until he popped the question to her? Until they had children? Until what? He should have just kissed her when he had the chance. Now she was just the one that got away,

He headed up to his room to go take a shower, on his way he saw Bella sitting on the couch. She looked bored and depressed, he felt bad because no one in the house really paid her much attention. No one talked to her or asked for her input or anything, he figured since she might be the mother of his nephew he should at least talk to her. But what should he say? He sat down next to her, "So...." he began, she looked at him in surprise. No one in this house really talked to her unless she asked a question. "When's your next doctors appointment?" he asked. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"For the baby. You know, so they can give you the ultrasound?"

"You get better hearing just because you're pregnant?"

Roc forgot she was on the slow side so he tried to re-ask the question another way, "No. I mean when do we get to see pictures of the baby inside your stomach?"

"Oh, the black and white pictures?"

"Yeah,"

"Um, I don't know. They haven't called me back yet,"

"Well when they do I want you to tell me, okay?"

"Okay,"

 With that, Roc went upstairs to change out of his sweaty gym clothes. On his way to his room he saw Princeton dressed up like he was going somewhere important, "Where are you going?" he asked. "I'm just going to the park." said Princeton innocently.

"It's almost six, what are you going to do at a park? Especially dressed like that,"

"I, uh, just wanted to get some fresh air,"

"So why don't you just walk outside in your pajamas like you always do?"

"I just want to get away from home for a while,"

Roc already knew what was up, Princeton was going on a date. Question is who was he going on a date with? Was it Zoe or some other girl? Roc just looked at Princeton in disgust, he was the new Prodigy. "Okay. Well... have fun with your 'fresh air' bro," Roc said sarcastically. Roc went to his room and sat on the edge of his bed and waited until Princeton left the house, once he heard the front door close he grabbed his phone and called Zoe. 

"Hello?" she answered.

"Hey Zoe. What's up?"

"Oh nothing much. Just watching re-runs of Moesha,"

"Oh really? So you're not going anywhere with Princeton today?"

"Oh no, uh, see. We were going to chill somewhere but, uh, he had..... plans,"

That dirty son-of-a-bitch!, He thought. Why would he cheat on her like that? She's smart, funny, beautiful, nice, and talented. Why would he do that to her? And how could she be so oblivious to what's going on? Brother or no brother, he couldn't let this go. "Well since he has plans what do you want to do?" he asked. "Oh, um, I don't know. Maybe we could go to the arcade or something," she replied.

"Cool. I'll pick you up,"

"Okay. Bye."

On the outside Roc looked like he was calm and cool, but on the inside he was jumping up and down saying "Yes!" It wasn't really a date but at the same time it kinda was. He took his shower, got dressed and headed to Ray's room. "Hey Ray," Roc said.

"What's up?"

"Can you drive me and Zoe to the arcade?"

"Sure. I need to go do something anyways,"

Ray got his keys and they both headed to the garage, "Why are you so happy?" Ray asked, "Oh nothing," Ray laughed knowing exactly why he was happy. They took off from the garage as the sun began to set.

*At The Park*

Jacob and Princeton had a special place in the park where no one really goes jogging or has picnics, it was quiet and beautiful. They sat on a bench together watching the ducks swim in the pond. Jacob had his arm around Princeton and Princeton had his head in the crook of Jacob's neck, the warmth of each other made them feel more relaxed and calm. The sun was setting just perfectly, it was the perfect moment. "Do you know how much I've missed you?" asked Jacob, "Not as much as me," Princeton replied.

"I missed your eyes, I missed your hair, I missed your smile, I missed holding you. Everything,"

"I missed you too. Well, in other news, did you have fun on tour with the girls?"

"Yeah. It was nice... and colorful,"

Princeton laughed, "Yeah, that's the OMG Girlz for you!"

"OMG on Errrrrythang!"

They both laughed, "Hey Prince?" asked Jacob.

"Yeah?"

"I know you don't like to think about it but... I really do want to know,"

"About what?"

"Us. You know, in the future,"

"Like?"

Jacob was hesitant, but it was important, "Will we be coming out anytime soon?" he asked.  Princeton rolled his eyes, "Jacob, really?"

"Yes really. We can't hide this forever,"

"You know I would if I could but I can't! It will destroy my family and their career and yours,"

"But I don't care! I just want us to be together. Open and happy,"

Princeton cupped Jacob's face and stared deep into his eyes, "I want that too Jake, but you know I can't," Jacob shook his head and looked away from Princeton. It was always a hard subject for them to talk about, Jacob wanted to be open but Princeton was just too afraid. What would happen to his family? What would his family think? What would happen to Jacob? "Princeton," said Jacob, "I'm not saying we have to do it right now, and I'm not saying we have to do it this year, but we need to come out at some given time," he pulled Princeton into his arms and kissed his nose, "I know babe," said Princeton, "I just don't know how," Jacob brushed his lips onto Princeton's and Princeton gave him a kiss. Soon they locked lips like in those romantic movies, suddenly Princeton's phone goes off killing the mood. It was Ray, "Hello?" said Princeton.

"Prince look," said Ray really fast, "I need you to pick up Roc and Zoe at nine okay?"

"Um, okay. Why?"

"LOOK PRINCE CAN YOU JUST DO IT?!"

"Okay, okay! Calm down, I'll get them,"

Ray hung up the phone leaving Princeton confused, "Everything okay?" asked Jacob. "I-I'm not sure," he responded. Something was going on with Ray. He never acts like that. Yeah, thought Princeton, this would be the perfect time to come out!
