Chapter 5

Time flew as Zoe and Princeton were catching up on each other's life. Zoe had volunteered at orphanages and lead protests, she even became a vegan which was no surprise to Princeton. It was almost midnight when they stopped laughing about the times they did stupid things when they were younger, "Oh wow," she said as she looked at the clock, "We talk way to much!" Princeton laughed. "I'll drive you home if you want," he said.

"But it's really late, and you know I live damn near in a forest. It's going to be really hard to see,"

"Well how else will you get ho-"

Princeton stopped and grew a look of excitement on his face, "What are you thinking afro puff?" Zoe said as she saw Princeton's expression, Princeton jumped off the couch they we sitting on and turned to Zoe, "Sleep over!" he said happily. Roc finally came out of the gym and heard what Princeton said, "Who's having a sleep over?" Roc said. "Me and Zoe!" he responded with a huge smile.

"Wait, I never said I agreed."

Roc turned on his headphones and was in the process of changing the song, Princeton turned Zoe in Roc's direction and whispered, "Do you want to stay now?" Zoe nodded her head rapidly while staring at Roc all sweaty and shirtless. "Come on pedefile," Princeton said as he dragged Zoe upstairs.

*The Next Day*

Ray woke up and headed downstairs for his usual morning meal, cereal. He saw that neither Roc or Princeton were down stairs, he was confused but continued to the kitchen anyways. He waited a while for Princeton or Roc to come down but they never did, Where the hell are they, he thought, What the hell is going on? He went upstairs and it was quiet, even in Prodigy's room. No giggling sounds, no hangover moans, no "Shh! Girl you gotta be quiet!", nothing. He walked into Roc's room and saw Roc was getting dressed, "Where are you going?" he asked, "Knock much?" Roc replied fixing his collar in the mirror, "Knock, knock. Now where are you going?"

Roc shifted his feet and smiled to himself, "I might go to the mall and get those new Jordans, but if someone wants to tag along then I'll go to the movies." Ray entered and sat on Roc's bed, "Ooh, who's your lady friend?" he asked.

"I mean, she didn't say yes yet. Actually I didn't even ask her yet."

"Who is it?"

"Well... It's Zoe."

Ray dropped his mouth in awe, "ZOE!!!" Ray yelled as he ran out of Roc's room. Roc chased after him, "SHUT UP RAY!!!" he yelled. Ray ran into the guest bedroom and saw that the bed was messy. So someone did sleep in there, he ran next to the bathroom door and knocked, "ZOE!" he shouted.

"Okay she's not here so can you shut up now?"

Ray was just about to give up until he turned around and saw her clothes on the chair, "She's still here!" Ray said in a sinister voice. Damn, Roc thought, and they ran all the way downstairs while Ray was shouting, "ZOE!!!", and Roc was shouting, "RAY, SHUT UP!!!" No one was downstairs, they ran to the gym room, to the media center, and the garage. Zoe was no where to be found, "See," Roc said while trying to catch his breath, "She's not here, now leave me alone!"

With loving eyes,Ray went over to Roc, put his hands on his shoulders and said, "Roc, I'm your big brother. It's my job to make you be humiliated." That's when the idea dawned on him, Princeton might know where she is, he thought. "Speaking of big brothers, where is Princeton?" he said, Roc shrugged and Ray ran upstairs. Roc was confused on what he was running for so he didn't chase him, he just walked. By the time Ray was at Princeton's bedroom door, Roc was just now getting on the steps. "Prince," Ray said as he opened the door, "Do you know where Z-," He stopped, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Roc was on his way up the steps, he had to think fast, so Ray hurried up and closed the door and layed his back on it, "What are you doing?" Roc asked.

"Nothin', just...chillin."

Roc grabbed for the door and Ray blocked him, "I don't think that's a good idea." said Ray, "Why not?" Ray didn't answer, so Roc faked as if he was leaving and Ray relaxed, letting go of the door nob. Roc turned back to the door and opened it before Ray could even protest and saw it, he saw what Ray was trying to hide from him. Heartbreak. He saw Zoe asleep in Princeton's bed with one arm wrapped around Princeton's neck. He stormed away and went into his room, changed out of his clothes, and stayed in his room with the door closed listening to music. He was mad, he was furious. But then he thought about how close her and Princeton were, it was bound to happen. He would never get a chance with her, he then let a few tears roll down his face.
