I smiled.
I was home alone today because mum, dad and my brother were out of town, and I was watching BTS videos. Funny moments, interviews, game shows, whatever came my way. I should have been working, but just because I should have been, didn't mean I wanted to. And every fangirl needs a bit of BTS time, obviously.
The phone rang, pulling my eyes from the computer screen as I picked it up to check who it was. I grinned and answered.
"Have you heard? OMG have you heard?!?!" Beth squealed down the phone. I had no idea what she was talking about, so after telling her to speak clearly and explain she just said she's coming over and telling me in person. "Wait, hold on-" I started but she'd already cut the phone. I just sat for a moment, puzzled, but then shrugged it off and went downstairs to make something to eat, seeing as I was hungry and Beth was coming over soon anyway. Her full name is Elizabeth, Beth for short, and we'd been close friends for a while now - she was the one who showed me BTS and enlightened my world to the beauty of Kpop.
My eyes kept darting to the clock, and I realised I was walking from room to room aimlessly. I couldn't help it, I was getting excited; I had no idea what it was I was about to be told but for some reason I had a good feeling about it. It must be good or else she wouldn't have sounded so hyped about it, right?
After 20 minutes the doorbell rang, followed by a few rapid knocks, after which the doorbell was rung again. I grinned and swung open the door, about to say something but didn't get the chance as Beth stepped straight inside and demanded, "Sam, where is the computer? Quick!" She was hopping from one foot to the other, unable to stand still; I wondered what could it possibly be that is making her so happy. After I brought down the laptop, she typed furiously on the keyboard, clicked onto a webpage and turned the screen towards me with a huge smile, motioning for me to read it.
I scanned the page, muttering bits aloud: "Bighit entertainment have finally organised some more events for the bangtan boys...make ARMYs happy worldwide..branching out to more countries...including concerts in Paris, Barcelona...and a special FANSIGNING IN LONDON?!" I exclaimed, abruptly standing up, causing the chair to scrap backwards. I looked at Beth, who was already staring at me with sparkles in her eyes. We were both thinking the same thing... They're coming here. The group we had only been watching from behind a screen, dreaming of meeting in person, was coming to our country, at last.
"They're...London...here...see them...finally!" We both were a jumble of words as we hugged and danced around the living room, cheering and whooping in delight, and we had full reason to!
"I can't believe it! Finally! Now we just have to secure tickets.." Beth sighed. "I'll be so annoyed if we don't get tickets; I'd hate to miss this!"
I smirked. "Don't worry, we will. We'll make sure of it." We settled down and put a film on, to calm the excitement, but neither of us could concentrate.
I might be able to see BTS!
No wait... I'm definitely going to see BTS, no doubt about it.
