17 - The Misunderstanding

Taehyung?! It was him?!
It suddenly occurred to me - of course, the parts of song on the notes were all Taehyung's verses! How did I miss that?
What about Beth? She'll be so upset if she finds out.. What do I do...

"Sam? What are you doing here?" He asked me, looking equally as confused as I was.
"What?" He was the one who called me here, and now is asking what I'm doing?
"You're here... But why?" He repeated.
"You sent me these, obviously..." I rummaged in my pockets but I must have left them in my room. "You know, the notes...?"
He nodded, "Yes but I put them in Beth's jacket." He ran his fingers through his hair and smoothed it; his face looked so confused. I then realised what had happened, and laughed from relief.
"That's not her jacket, it's mine! She was borrowing it because hers ripped, and you must have thought it was hers! And so when she gave me back the jacket in the evenings, I found the notes and assumed they were for me, I should have worked out that they were for her," I grinned.
V took this in, before grinning and face palming. "I should have checked that it was hers, or put them in a better place.." He laughed.
Let me ring her, I thought, and pulled out my phone and rang the number.

~Beth's Point of View~

"Sam, where are you?" I called out, I'd looked all downstairs but she wasn't there. I trudged up the stairs and knocked on her room, but no reply. I slowly opened the door and went to the bathroom, but no one in there either. As I was heading for the door, pale pink sheets of paper spread out on the desk caught my eye. I went over and gasped. That's where she'd gone!

Wait... Sam had gone to meet this person. Taehyung was missing, he left saying he had to go to the shop, at quarter to 9. It didn't take a genius to put two and two together. My heart sank; I felt like crying all of a sudden. She wouldn't accept him, would she? Please, she wouldn't do that to me...

I stormed out and grabbed my phone and walked out of the house, ignoring someone, I think it was Jimin, calling after me. I almost ran down the road, I had to reach that park...
Suddenly my phone rang as I was reaching the gate; it was her. I debated whether or not to pick up, but in the end I did.

"Hello?"

"Beth?!"

"Yes."

"Come to the park, right now! Like, right now!" She said gleefully, before hanging up. Why did she sound happy, did she want to rub it in my face? Was Jungkook not enough for her? No, these aren't my thoughts, she's my friend...
I neared the two who were leaning against a tree talking. As V spotted me, he smiled and stood up properly, with Sam following suit.
Sam gave him a reassuring smile, before walking a little distance away, whilst Taehyung came and stood in front of me. What's going on?

"Well, it started like this..."

~Sam's Point of View~

I observed the two talking, and grinned when I saw Beth fling her arms around Taehyung's neck, and he wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging tightly. They broke away after some moments, and he leaned down and gave her a kiss on her lips.
Finally, I smiled to myself and turned away to the gate, walking back to the house. They'd come back sooner or later, but I didn't want to be the third wheel! I sighed; I knew how happy Beth would be now, and I was happy for her... I hope Jungkook will realise how much I like him too...

~Jungkook's Point of View~

Where was Sam? I'm going out to look for her in a minute; she was definitely going out to meet someone, she wouldn't have dressed up otherwise. Was it a guy? I hope not. Suddenly I heard the front door unlock, and I rushed to see if it was her.
Sam stepped in, not noticing me standing in the hall. She looked deep in thought, her hair windswept and her eyes on the floor.
"Sam?" I said tentatively, and she looked up.
"Hey, Jungkook," She smiled and hung up her jacket. She walked closer and was about to step around me but I stepped in her way. She tried again to step around, but again I blocked her. She looked up, and I smirked.
"Oh really," She smirked back, and poked my abs, then placed her hands on my front and tried to push me; obviously I am stronger! I just grinned, before she began to tickle me.
"Sam! No please, okay okay...." I laughed, trying to get away, as she laughed along with me, enjoying watching me squirm.
The door unlocked again, to reveal Taehyung and Beth... Holding hands?! Since when?! My eyes widened and I looked at Sam who was grinning knowingly, so she must have already known.
"Yes Maknae, we're together," V confirmed, as he walked smugly towards the living room to tell the other boys. Beth came over and hugged Sam tightly, and they were both giggling and squealing from delight, so I decided to leave them and went to the living room, and patted V on the back. After the cheers died down, Jin said something to me:
"It's your turn next Jungkook," He smirked, and the others looked surprised before nodding and said, "Sam, right?"
I smiled at the mention of her name.
"Tomorrow!" J-Hope grinned, and I looked away embarrassed as the others joined in on the teasing and attempting to persuade me to tell her tomorrow.
"Okay! Fine," I laughed. Tomorrow it is...
