~Sam's Point of View~

To: Sam
From: Mina

Hey. Let's go to the studio to see the boys? I'm on my way, I'll meet you there :)

To: Mina
From: Sam

Sure, see you :)

I thought Mina didn't like me very much, especially since I'm now with Jungkook, but I'm happy that she's being nice. I was already dressed and ready to go, so I went downstairs and asked Beth to come too. She agreed, and we left to go get the bus.

~time skip - Sam's Point of View~

There we were again, at the studio.
"I'm going to go see Taehyung, it's his recording time right now!" Beth grinned and walked away. I walked in the opposite direction to the practice room, where Mina said she'd be. I walked down the corridor singing to myself quietly, before slowing to a halt and pressing myself against the wall when I heard two familiar voices speaking in the room.

~Mina's Point of View~

I had made sure I arrived first at the studio. I perched myself on a chair in a position that I had full view of the corridor through the open door. Jungkook stood at the other end of the room, wiping sweat away from his forehead and redoing some steps from a new choreography, watching himself in the mirror to check he was doing it right. I admired his dedication and attention to detail; I could watch him constantly... But I had work to do.

"Jungkook.." I began.

"Yeah?" He replied, still focused on his dancing.

"You've seen the new editor right?"

"Who, Cynthia?" He asked, as he performed a perfectly executed move.

"Yes, she likes you a lot, like very much! She's a big fan of yours; she seems to think that you like her back." I scoffed.

He laughed. "Is that so?"

I nodded, even if his gaze wasn't on me. In the corner of my eye, I saw Sam coming into the corridor. Perfect timing. She slowed as she heard our voices, and stood behind the door, thinking neither of us could see her - just as I had intended for her to do. Unknown to her, I knew she was there!

"Yeah, so what do you think about her?" I asked.

~Sam's Point of View~

I paused upon hearing Mina and Jungkook's voices. Not because I didn't trust him, but because there was something that made me hold back.

"...so what do you think about her?" I heard Mina ask.

Who are they talking about?

"What can I say?" Jungkook chuckled.
"I don't feel the same way about her as she does to me."

My chest tightened, he wasn't referring to me was he?

"You don't? But she now thinks you do," Mina softly laughed.

"No, of course not! She's just a fan, I've known her for what, almost 3 weeks or something? I know she likes me and believes that I feel the same way, but it's really not true. She can think what she wants until the summer is over, I probably won't see her ever again anyway, so there's no harm. She'll realise in the end that I'm out of her reach," He joked, and Mina laughed.

"You like me more than her, don't you Jungkook oppa?" She cooed, sickeningly sweetly.
"Of course Mina, you're my friend, I've known you for years, why wouldn't I like you more," He chuckled.

What did I just hear?
My heart... I felt so... Broken. Deceived. All of yesterday, just a lie? He just wanted some entertainment for the summer, is that it?
"She can think what she wants until summer is over, I'll probably never see her again anyway...."
"She'll realise in the end that I'm out of her reach..."
His words cut like a knife. I truly believed what we had was something... Stumbling out from behind the door, I ran. I just ran, to anywhere, I just needed to get away from here. My vision was blurry from the tears that were streaming down my face, so much so that I didn't have time to stop before before I bumped straight into someone.

"Hey! Why are you crying? What's wrong?"
I rubbed my eyes and took a closer took. It was a guy, with a kind smile and eyes. He seemed harmless enough, but I didn't want to talk to anyone, I was too hurt. I tried to step past him but he grabbed my arm.

"No, you're not in any condition go by yourself... Here, sit down." He led me to an empty room and sat me down on a chair.
"Now, explain?"

~Jungkook's Point of View~

"Why are you asking me about her anyway? She's just an editor, I barely know her." I asked, it was a bit strange.
Mina just shook her head, and shrugged.

"Whatever. Do you know where Sam is?" I questioned; she said she'd be here but still wasn't.

"Yeah actually... Pretty sure I saw her head into one of the rooms further down the corridor... with some guy."

I stopped looking at my phone and looked up at Mina, who had an unreadable expression on her face. I trusted Sam, but my curiosity was taking the better of me. I bid Mina goodbye and went in search of Sam and this "guy".

I slowed when I heard voices, particularly hers. I caught the last of her words, and my heart stopped:

"Jeon Jungkook... He thinks I'm going to play along?" She laughed bitterly, full of malice.
"No, I won't. Now I know what's he's like... Not like what he appears on screen. Such a disappointment... Oh well, I won't see him after the next few weeks. I have no feelings for him; Jungkook means nothing to me. Nothing..."

What... Sam?
Did I hear correctly? Why would she say that? What did I do wrong, I thought she liked me too but I was wrong, she doesn't have any feelings, she lied to me...

"...I have no feelings for him; Jungkook means nothing to me. Nothing..."

I turned and walked away, my steps quickening, my eyes stinging as the tears threatened to fall. Fine, I know your true colours now...
I stood outside in the warm air. Suddenly, I got angry. My frustration took over and I punched the brick wall; blood was running down my hand from my cut knuckles but I didn't care; I couldn't feel it. All I could feel was hurt.
