~time skip - 4 months later - Sam's Point of View~

"Okay baby, saranghae," I sighed, hanging up the phone. I expected as much, but of course I was still disappointed - Jungkook wasn't able to come to me for the Christmas holidays, due to his schedule. I knew how busy he was so I didn't say anything, I just wish he could be here with me. I cuddled the first teddy he gave me months ago, smiling to myself. Picking up my phone, I rang a number.

"Hey, Beth? What are your plans for New Year?"

~time skip - New Years Eve - Sam's Point of View~

"Wow..."
"Yeah..." I nodded in agreement to Beth. We were back in London, staring out at the night life surrounding us, and the beautiful lights. The Big Ben and Tower Bridge were decorated in lights, as was the London Eye. I felt a pang of sadness when I remembered Jungkook's confession in the London Eye, thinking about how much I missed him.
"Sam, I'll be right back..."
Before I could reply, Beth ran off, weaving in and out of people. She was long gone - I couldn't catch up with her. Great, now I'm alone in a big city without a clue what to do now. Clutching the cup of hot chocolate I bought earlier, I checked my watch, which showed 10:00pm. Still plenty of time...
Suddenly, someone bumped my shoulder, making me drop my drink.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" The person apologised again and again.
"It's okay," I mumbled, miffed.
"Let me buy you a new one."
I properly looked at the person. It was a guy, quite a bit taller than me, with a black hat covering his hair. He wore a mask that covered his lower face, like one of the surgical- looking masks that people wore because of pollution. I mean, it was pretty clean here though..? I didn't ask about it though in case it was a personal reason. He had on black sunglasses; the night was dark, why would he need glasses? Weirdo.
"Erm.. No it's okay, don't worry about it," I muttered, edging away slightly.
He seemed to sense my unease, and let out a muffled chuckle. "We're only going for a drink in the café over there," he pointed to a brightly lit café on the street. "I'm not a weirdo I promise," He stated. Well... It was in full public view, and one drink couldn't hurt, plus I was cold and wanted something to warm me up.
"Sure, let's go," I smiled, and he seemed to grin behind his mask. I wish he'd take that mask off so I can see him properly, and pull his hat up a bit.
We walked in and sat down at a little two person table near the window, and the waiter came for our order. He took off his glasses, but pulled his hat down further.
"I'd like a cardamom tea please, and this beautiful lady would love a hot chocolate I'm guessing?" He winked, and I blushed but nodded, and the waiter walked away to fetch our order.
"So... Why are you staring into space?"
I broke out of my thoughts and faced him.
"Oh... It's nothing," I smiled. He leaned forward slightly, asking,"Are you sure? You seem rather sad?"
My smile wobbled. "I just miss my boyfriend, he couldn't be with me because he was busy, and you mentioned cardamom tea which is what he likes...."
The guy sat in front of me frowned, raising an eyebrow. "Too busy for his girlfriend? What's more important to him?"
I just vaguely said, "His work is demanding," but the guy persisted.
"That's not right, he should be making time for you. Aren't you annoyed?"
I shook my head, and I meant it. "No. I'm proud of what he does, and it's a lot of hard work and I understand his schedule. I should be lucky to be able to call myself his girlfriend."
The guy's eyes seemed to light up.
"He's very lucky to have you," Was all he said.

We exchanged names - his was Jongin - and general details, before continuing a lengthy discussion about anything and everything - I had a great time with him, and - he made me forget about Jungkook... I felt guilty. Honestly, it just felt natural talking to him, I felt like I'd known him longer.
"So tell me about this boyfriend of yours," He asked. I put down my mug and smiled, staring at the table.
"He's... Everything I could ask for. Kind, caring, sweet and funny. He's very gentle as well, though sometimes he's quite spontaneous and random! He has these dark intense eyes, with the biggest, most lovely smile that could light up the darkest room! He's Korean too actually..." I smiled sadly.
"How do you know I'm Korean?" Jongin asked curiously, and I chuckled. "Your name? It's Korean?"
"Oh of course," He chuckled, before suddenly standing up. "Let's go," He hurried, checking his watch.
"But you haven't drank your tea," I said perplexed - his cup was sat untouched. He just vaguely gestured to his mask that was obstructing his face, and grabbed my wrist before pulling me out of the café. We ended up on the bridge looking upon the River Thames and the London Eye. I reminisced the time with Jungkook, and so deep in my thoughts was I that I failed to notice a pair of arms wrap around my waist from behind.
"What-"
"Shh.." He turned me around as people started to chant a countdown around us. He pulled off his mask, hat and scarf, causing me to gasp.
"3!"
"2!"
"1!"
"Happy New Year Jagiya," Jungkook grinned, before gently pressing his lips to mine. I melted under his touch; his arms slipping to the small of my back and my own arms clasping around his neck. We broke away, our foreheads resting against each other, our noses touching. Snow was beginning to fall softly, frosting our hair and clothes. I giggled. It was the perfect scene.
"I love you Sam," He smiled warmly, and I smiled back.
"I love you too Jungkook."
