Chapter 28

Nancy Pov

" Nancy I .. I'm .. " she drifted off.

I dropped my glass and stood there in shock.

" you're what...? " I said on the verge of tears.

I just stood there and stared at her.

" Nancy , I'm about to die soon , I've been diagnosed for brain tumors and breast cancer. "

I felt all kinds of emotions over my body , before I knew it I was in tears and on my knees crying.

" How long... " I said regaining myself.

" 3/6 months. " she said wiping away her tears.

I sat there in a ball of tears and tried to keep from screaming. I don't wanna lose her , she might've done that to me , but lord knows she doesn't deserve this.. I wouldn't wish this on her.

" Lacee , I love you. "

" I love you too. " she said as she kneeled next to me wrapping her arms around me.

I hear footsteps come downstairs and saw Nate.

" what the hell's going on?"

" .. Nothing. It's nothing. " I said standing up trying to hold back my tears.

I hugged Lacee and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Call me." I said as she walked out the house.

When she finally left and Nate just stared at me.

" Babe .. What was that about ? " he said.

" I told you Nate , its nothing. " I said wiping my eyes.

" Fine , for now. " he said walking away.

" I'll be back. " I said grabbing my car keys.

" Where you going? "

" Somewhere , I'll be back. "

I grabbed my phone and left the house and got in my car.

I pulled up to Mama Joyce's house and got out , and once again there were all of Nate's friends , who I guess just hang out there.

I went in and saw mama Joyce in the kitchen like always.

" Hey Mama. " I said kissing her cheek.

" Hey baby , where's my son ? "

" Home. " I said looking down.

I felt a tear escape my cheek , from me being pregnant to Nate getting a girl pregnant , to him cheating is a lot on my shoulders.

I told her what happen and she just stood there surprised.

" Baby , let me know ASAP when my son is misbehaving , or mistreating you. You're the mother of his first born , there's not one reason on this fucking planet for him to be treating you wrong. "

I knew everything she said was true and I wasn't living by it. I love her and her son.

I gave her a hug and she went upstairs ,

" I'll be back. My show is on , and these boys playing they dumb ass game. Get what ever you want out the fridge and you can come chill in Nates room."

I went to the fridge and bent over , and found it full with a lot of shit.

" Tuna.. Watermelon.. Chili.. Pizza.. "

I felt a pair of hands wrap around my waist and felt my stomach turn.

I turned back to see Nate's friend Lavell cheesing hard as hell.
