Lavell Pov

Nancy fine as hell , and I heard she go. So I went and got some. Now she playing the victim shit , yes I did choke the hell out of her. If she would've kept her mouth shut we wouldn't have had that problem.

Nancy Pov

I got out of Nate's arms and just went into the kitchen. I wasn't hungry but I felt like just talking to myself.

I heard my phone ring and quietly rushed upstairs to get it.

" Hello ? " I said sleepily.

" Hey Baby girl. "

My heart dropped and tears formed in my eyes.

" Ray? " I said about to cry.

" Yea . Where you at?"

" Why? " I said getting mad , I don't even know why I bother anymore.

" We need to talk. " he said quickly.

" Fine." I gave him Nate's address.

I sat in the kitchen at the table and heard Nate's heavy handed ass come down stairs.

" Who was that? " he said rubbing his eyes.

" What chu mean?"

" On the phone. " he said finally looking at me.

" Ray...." I said quietly.

" Oh. " he said drinking water.

After sitting in silence for 20 minutes , the doorbell rang. I was frozen in action and couldn't think or move. Why would I wanna talk to him , the last conversation we had , he told me if I died he wouldn't be there for me. He probably was just mad. I had a lump in my throat and went and opened the door.

" Hey. " he said shyly rubbing the back of his neck.

I ignored him and moved out the way so he could come in. I locked the front door and we sat on the couch. It was so awkward and silent he was just staring at me so I started fiddling with my fingers.

" Nancy. I'm sorry for how I acted the last time we spoke. " he said breaking the silence.

" Yep. " I said with an attitude.

" Nancy hear me out. " he said getting loud.

" what ever ray , you basically told me after all these fucking years you wanna treat me like a little ass kid and then give up and not give a shit about me for a few months until you speak to me again? "

" Nancy , I said I was fucking sorry. I apologized damn. You were acting like a spoiled ass brat , that has everything handed to her. Chill the fuck out and take a look at reality. "

" Wow Ray. You don't know shit about me. I almost jumped out of a fucking hospital window after being raped by 3 fucking guys , and everything's handed to me. Don't speak on anything you don't fucking know about. You probably didn't even know I was fucking pregnant until I just told you. "

I saw his head go down and his head in his hands.

" Nancy , I'm - "

I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces and a lump in my throat as the tears came.

He wrapped me in his arms and just held me there. I instantly shoved his hands off of me looked him in his face , and walked off to the bathroom to cry in peace.

Ray Pov

After she walked away Nate came and sat next to me.

" Bro you needed chill out. She been through a lot of shit since you left. And now she's pregnant? You gotta slow ya roll. You told her some hurtful shit the last time y'all spoke. And she not feeling alright ever since. "

" I know this shit , but I gotta fucking question for you , " I said standing up.

" What the fuck happen to my sister neck. " I said as he stood up also.

" Don't fucking jump to conclusions my nigga. If you would spend time with your sister , you would fucking know. " he said feeling threatened.

" That's the game we playing. " I said laughing.

" Ain't no game being played , simple as that. I'm trynna do my part as her fucking man , and filling the hole in her heart you left. "

" Man fuck that. I been there for her since OUR MOM left us and left me and Monroe to raise her ass. She damn near my child , ever since I was fucking 7 I been teaching her shit. Now you coming into her life thinking you taking our place and shit. " I said getting mad.

" HELL FUCKING YEA. I sure as hell did take y'all place , cause y'all ain't do shit to her but hurt her. And every fucking time y'all do , I'm the one who gotta care for her and wrap her in my arms at night. "

" Nigga I know damn well you don't fucking love her , you just like every other nigga. Trynna fuck her and leave. I know damn well when she pop that baby out , yo ass gone leave her. "

I heard Nancy come downstairs in tears.

" Nate ... Is that true? " she said with red puffy eyes.

" Nancy - " Nate said.

" Nate I told you I don't wanna be left looking stupid. You said you loved me Nate. " she said crying hysterically.

I just fucked up their relationship. Well lemme put on my cape , captain relationship saver on the way.
