^KJ + Lizzie
SURPRISE!!!! I found some time so here's an update yay!!! Enjoy xxPreviously:
"I love you girls, I'll always be here to take care of my baby sisters." Tate smiles softly.
KJ looks to me sadly, "but it needs to stop."
"I know...but it is how it is." I say.
Conner appears, "Alex is here."
Shit.
______________________Forty minutes before:
"Carter." I say looking to her, "he can't see me like this."
"He can't know!" I panic. "Tell him I'm sleeping and don't let him in okay?!" I frantically say looking from Carter to KJ to Tate.
"On it." Carter rushes out, dragging Tate and Connor with her.
KJ looks to me with worried eyes, "go just say I'm sleeping." I say my breathing uneven with panic.
"No. I'm not leaving you." KJ says simply laying back down next to me.
I just nod and try and focus on my breathing that has only become more Rigid.
I felt KJs hand grab mine gently and my breathing calmed within an instant. I knew he had a thousand things to ask me, like why couldn't Alex know? What's going to happen?
But God knows I don't even know my self.
So instead, KJ just laid next to me, both of us staring at the ceiling as he comforted me in silence simply by holding my hand.
He knew me better than anyone. He knew when not to talk and when to talk and he always knew just what to do.
KJ was always, and unconditionally there for me.
And after everything that happened today, I knew I could rely on him. I always could.
_______________
The boys had somehow convinced Alex that I had a migraine and was sleeping and that I would meet them at the diner later. So when I realized I had fallen asleep and KJ had as well, I woke him up and frowned at the time. 9:00 pm.
"What's wrong, does something hurt?" KJ asks as I shake him awake.
"No I'm fine. It's 9 though." I say to him
"Oh okay, want to get going? " he asks.
I simply nod and sit up slowly. KJ gets up and is by my side within an instant, helping me to my feet.
We slowly make it downstairs and I'm greeted by Carter and Luke.
"He refused to leave you." Carter explains rolling her eyes.
