"I have to leave.", Elizabeth stood up without hesitation. Richard tried to stop her from leaving, but she overcame the force standing in her way. "I can't believe I trusted you."
The door slammed behind her back and Elizabeth did not look back. The wind was terribly strong in the evening when she left. She could have taken shelter in Richard's house but she didn't. Her life was totally behind her. How they first have sex in the cave. How he pleasured her in the classroom as a detention.
How could I bring myself to live?, she thought.
------
Examinations have begun the week after the incident. Elizabeth and Sophie went straight up to the corridor outside the hall as they scanned for their seats which were on the paper pasted on the wall.
"Lizzy, you're just behind me.", Sophie said as she pointed out the seat. "Let's ace the exams, ignore the asshole." The girls saw Mr. Matthews who was their chief examiner for all of their examinations in the hall. He was looking straight at Elizabeth, carrying a smile and wishing her all the best.
"Alright, students.", said another examiner. "Made sure you have your entry proof, stationary and ensure no calculator is with you." The students could be seen, checking whether they have brought everything. Some went back to the reflection center to grab their entry proof or better still, had their last glance at their Chemistry notes.
"Hopefully, you have everything.", the same examiner said. "May the force be with you, kids."
------
"Crap, I accidentally placed the wrong option on my OTAS.", said Sophie as the girls walked out of the hall. For Elizabeth, the paper wasn't too bad and her probability of getting an 'A' was one. "You sure to passed it, Sophie."
Out of the school compound they go, the girls decided to spend their day at the library which was a long walk from where they were. A peaceful environment from jerks was a good way to focus on the examinations.
Once the girls reached the library, they headed to the second floor and occupied a table near the desired bookshelf. The place they chose was too good to be true. There wasn't anyone around the corner and most of them were too busy either reading or cramming for the examinations since most schools are having the same.
"Take care of my stuff, Sophie.", Elizabeth said. "I needed a toilet."
------
Why is it so hard to find a toilet in such a huge library?, Elizabeth thought. She was super urgent and the direction signs in the library sucks. If there was still no restroom in sight, she might just want to piss in the public.
"Urgent or craving something else?", said a familiar voice. Elizabeth turned around and yup, the asshole, Richard was right in front of her.
"Do you know why I am feeling disadvantage right now?"
"Why?", she asked.
"Because you are not giving me a chance to explain."
