"Lizzy, get the door!", Father shouted from the kitchen. "I'm busy in the kitchen." Elizabeth did as what she was told, she paced her steps towards the main door and opened. A policewoman stood in front of her, blonde and in her early 20s.

"Can I help you?", Elizabeth asked.

"I'm Miss Geraldine and you are Elizabeth Bell, right?", the policewoman asked, moving on to her next question which she already found the obvious. "Mind if you come with me to the police station where I will ask you some questions regarding Mr. John Shelley?"

Elizabeth nodded, gathering her coat as she walked out and entered the police car.

------

Sipping and sipping as Elizabeth took the cup of tea into her hands which was offered by Miss. Geraldine. Somehow, her eyes were familiar, as though she resembled someone she really knew. Miss Geraldine laid down three files in order from the newest to the oldest, judging from the colour of the file.

"So Elizabeth, or can I call you Lizzy?", Miss Geraldine asked, flipping up the first file. Elizabeth did not say a word.

"John's friends told me you were the last person to saw him alive yesterday roughly after midnight."

"Girls like yourself shouldn't be out alone in the night. Where were you before heading home?", Miss Geraldine looked at Elizabeth.

"I was at my best friend's house, watching The Hobbit trilogy and then dinner with her family.", she answered. "She's Sop--"

"Yes, I know, Sophie. She's my cousin and told me lot about you.", Miss Geraldine smiled, taking the second file which was a little red, added to the brown. "Dating an older man?"

Crap, Elizabeth thought. Who could knew Sophie told everything to a police officer, her own cousin? She then nodded and waited for the next question. Miss Geraldine sighed, placing her file right in front of Elizabeth. "I thought you may want to know the man you are dating."

Elizabeth reached out for the file, seeing Richard's photo attached to it. Little did she know, Richard was more than just Richard. Michael Richard Cyrus, she wondered. "M. R Cyrus is the name he always chose to end on letters.", Miss Geraldine broke the silence.

"In fact, Michael Richard Cyrus or you like to call him, Richard is the man who last saw Amelia Bell, your mother.", she said, taking the last file next to her. "When was the last time you saw your mother?", Miss Geraldine placed a younger, gorgeous Amelia's photo right in front of Elizabeth.

------

"It was four years ago, two weeks after my Mom arrived home from her business trip. I remembered her, always asking me to sing for her every afternoon.", Elizabeth told Miss Geraldine, trying to recalled every last moments.

"I was trying to sleep, but I couldn't. The noise just kept getting louder and louder. I walked out of my room and saw the door being left opened where my parents were in. So I peaked inside and saw my Dad raging with anger, shoving the letters in my Mom's face.", said Elizabeth.

"You were having it behind my back?!", Elizabeth's father shouted.

"Harry, it isn't li--", Amelia hold his arms.

"No, no, I am not tolerating this nonsense. Just get the fuck out of my house."

------

"Did you know that your mother was with him?", Miss Geraldine asked.

Elizabeth continued to look at the photograph of both her mother and of course, Richard. She brought the photos closer, aligning them to its perfection. Tears soon flow from her eyes, looking at the tragedy the photos gave.

"Yes. I knew she was with him."

Thought I needed to make this chapter a tragedy and my apology if this isn't tragedy enough. Anyway, do look forward to the next chapter where everything has to always come to an end.
