[A/N]: This is from my new story called Expect the Unexpected, this is the first chapter.
<<(Y/N) POV>>
As usual, my mother is yelling at her boss. Well, one of them, she's yelling at them on the phone, she does this every morning at 7:00 so that's my wake up call. I go to our shared bathroom and look for a brush and a hair tie, not really doing my hair all nice like other girls."Sweety! Are you up yet?" My mother yelled from downstairs. I didn't bother yelling back, she knows the walls are so thick I can basically hear her breathe from downstairs. She says I'm the most blessed thing to ever happen to her, though, I know dad was. Dad treated her like a queen and when that unfaithful day with the protection ripped, out came me. Dad wasn't ready to be a father, so he fled with a Hawaiian girl, Mom's best friend.
"Breakfast!" My mom yelled. I put my sweatshirt on and some sneakers, grabbing my backpack and heading down stairs to grab the toast she made me. But as I came to the bottom of the steps, there was no breakfast.
"Mom? Where's food?" She looked at me with disappointed eyes and walked over to me, placing both hands on my shoulders. She was already leaking tears, but I knew she tried to be strong.
"Sweetheart, it's been a while since we've actually talked."
"W-What are you talking about? I ask you all-"
"I meant about us. How I'm doing, how you're doing, you know," she looked at me as I hung my head down, "Sweety, I love you more than anything. Times are rough and money is tight but I won't hesitate to give you the entire world. But I need you to talk." I nodded and she sighed, "what's been happening at school?" I know what's been going on, but the bad thing was he was the son of my moms boss, and if I told anyone he would make him fire her, and I need my mom to have a job, she'd brake if she didn't have any.
"It's nothing mom, I guess I just beat myself up sometimes."
"No matter what they say or what they look like-"
"Mom..-"
"No, listen. Never, ever, let them get to you. You're strong hearted, powerful, beautiful, and stronger than them."
"But didn't dad call you beautiful and then I came?"
"Never say it like that, you were the best thing God had ever given me. To lose you makes me feel as a bad mother, like I did something to you. Now I know, I raised you to not turn out like me and dad. I was young and I messed up my chances for everything-"
"Cause of me?"
"That's not what I mean! You need to stop beating yourself up or people will think it's easy to literally beat you to the core." Her mom said, I shrugged and moved out of her grasp.
"Sure mom, I have to go to school. I'll be late if I don't." I sling my back pack over my shoulder and went outside, walking the very short walk to school. When I got there, the boys were hanging outside talking about Black Ops 3 and stuff like that. I pulled up my hood and shoved my hands in my pockets bit Tyler seemed to notice me.
"Hey guys look, it's hoodie girl." He laughed. He came over and harshly pulled my hoodie down, almost with my ponytail. "Thought you could hide from us?"
"What a fucking dumbass." Lui laughed.
"Leave me alone.." I whispered, Tyler crouched down and grasped my shoulders, as my mom did earlier.
"What's that?" He said in a girly voice, "need to tell mama something?" He was trying to act like my mom.
"I said leave me alone." I said a bit louder. His friends laughed as Tyler stood up and put his hand on his hip like a girl.
"Look at me! I'm (Y/N)'s mom! I had sex without protection and my boyfriend left me for my best friend!" He laughed at the end, along with his friends. Tears were threatening to come out and I clenched my fists. I pushed Tyler out of the way and kicked his leg. I pulled up my hood and ran in school. I knew that once Tyler's leg stopped hurting, him and his friends would run after me, so I hid in the janitor's closet. I curled up and hugged my knees, burying my head in my arms as I sobbed. I clenched my sweatshirt sleeves as I cried, thinking that if my dad was still here, he would hold me like my mom does. I lay my head back on the shelves of the janitors closet. I look up at the ceiling at the crappy flickering light.
"I hate this, I hate him, I hate my life." I whispered. It was true, Tyler was the worse thing to ever happen to me besides my father. Highschool can be a pain in the ass, especially with bullies. I've been the smartest and favorited kid in every class, but Tyler and some of his crew were in part of my classes so, you can imagine the death threats and insult notes I receive.
"Fucking...why does this happen to me?" I hit my head on the shelf 2 times and sob quietly. There is and was nothing I could do about Tyler, one word about what he's done to me and my mom is fired, like I said before. The door opens and I put my hands up just in case it was Tyler to punch me.
"What are you doing in here, Sweetheart?" The man said I put down my arms and look at him, it was the janitor.
"I-I'm sorry, I was hiding from someone. I'll go." I stood up but he out a hand in front of me,
"I know things are going a bit rough for you, with the boys hurting you and all but trust me, things will get better. Here." He handed me and fortune cookie and left the door open for me to leave. I stared down at the cookie and rise a brow.
"Wouldn't hurt to try. After all, I haven't eaten yet." I broke the cookie and ate some of it and pulled out the paper, putting the rest of the cookie in my pocket for lunch and perhaps dinner for my mom. I unrolled the paper and it read:
'The bad things you hate, will turn into something you'll love'
