Theme: Maze Runner
(Y/N) POV
My eyes flutter open and I suddenly jolt up from the movement. I was in a rectangular cage with food and drinks around me. I was breathing heavily, I didn't even know who I was. The cage came to a stop and opened, letting in bright sunlight. People started to surround me, which made me even more frightened.
"What is that?" A red head asked. A young black male pushed by them and crouched to my level.
"It's a girl." I stood up and looked around at them, all eyes and joking smiles were on me. I made a run for it,
"We gotta a runner!" One shouted, the rest laughed. I kept running, I saw a gate in the distance maybe I could escape by. Soon, I tripped on a rock and fell, where I caught my breath. I stared at the gate, waiting until a person grabbed my shirt and hoisted me up. He stared at me with piercing brown eyes and jet black hair. The rest of the guys came and knocked me out of his hand, grabbing me and throwing me in a pit.
"Stay here until you learn better." One laughed. They walked off, I slowly went up to the cage door and looked out, it was like an oasis. I turned back around and faced another wall until suddenly,
"Hey." I jumped and fell back a bit, not staying anything. "My names Alby. I want you to tell me everything you know. Who you are, why you're here and where you came from."
"I-I." I was afraid of my own voice, it sounded a little high and a little low, I guess hats what I've always sounded like, and I'm going to use it. "I don't know who I am. I don't why I'm here and I came from the box in the ground." I pointed over at the stone platform that I came from. He nodded and opened the door, lifting am out and bringing me over to their 'village'.
"Everyone, this is the new comer. Now remember how it was when you came here, treat her nicely." All nodded and ten went back to work. 4 men plus a boy came up to me.
"I'm chuck. You don't look like any of us. How do you sound?" I shrugged and he went back beside the red head.
"I'm Newt. I'm the one who asked who you were." He shook my hand and I smiled.
"I'm Jonathan." Jon shook my hand as well and then came the guy who picked me up by the shirt.
"Evan." He shook my hand, I nodded and smiled back.
"Hey girlie!" A guy yelled. He came over and pushed me down, getting sand in my hair. "Bet you don't have what it takes." He got in a fighting stance, I didn't wanna fight him.
"What's this for?" I asked, he laughed.
"She does talk! This is to see who's gonna be a runner." I stood up and tried hitting him, he pushed me down again. I kicked his leg and stood. I repeatedly kicked him in the shin until he managed to punch me in my knee, sending me down..hard. I look up at him, he was smirking at what he's done.
"That's what you get!" He raised his arms in accomplishment, Evan pushed him aside, helping me up.
"That's enough Ben."
"Don't go soft, Evan. Now I'm a runner and we leave as soon as those gates-" The gates made a sound, he smirked at it. He then grabbed I guess 'runner' gear and took off.
"Ben!" Evan called. He grabbed his stuff and went after him too, into the maze I guess. Alby came behind and patted me on the back.
"They're runners, they run around the maze looking for a way out. We stay here, in the center of the maze." He led me around, showing me farms and hits where everyone lived. He even brought me to a station to patch me up from the fight with Ben. "So how do you like it?"
"It's amazing. Will I ever become a runner?" He laughed and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Not until one has fallen." He led me to the fire that everyone was setting up. "we have established a committee here that almost no one wants to leave, and you my friend, are different from the rest of us."
"I know that, but who am I?" He shrugged.
"We may never know. I have to go, see you around girlie." He walked away from me, I stood the dumbfounded and looked around. The place was, out of the question, beautiful.

[A/N]: hey guys, it's not 1000 words but I didn't have the heart to write it. So..the shit going down has not ended. I'll try and write better when I have the heart again. Bye!
