Grace Pov

I woke up with something warm touching my back, it was the first time in a long time. My eyes burst open and I look around the unfamiliar room then down at myself. I was dressed in a long T-shirt and underwear that aren't mine. I slowly flip over and met a pair of beautiful grey eyes.

"Your awake, good I was getting worried after awhile" her soft voice said.

"What happened?" I asked

"Well I kicked you out of my house in a snow storm after I found out you were sleeping in my attic but then I felt guilty and went searching for you after an hour I gave up and started to come home and found you unconscious by some trash cans near by." She replied quickly.

"How did I get into these clothes?" I questioned wanting to know.

"Uh well I changed you because you were freezing," the woman answered with a slight blush.

"Oh I see, well what's your name?" I wondered.

"Oh Alice, Alice Pierce. Didn't you know my name from before though?" Alice asked

"No like I said I didn't exactly look around, I only know Rex." I answered.

Just like that Rex was on the bed cuddling.

"Come on I'll make you some breakfast" Alice told me. I got up and followed her into her kitchen and sat at the table. I watched the way she moved she seemed so graceful besides the fact she was nervous as hell. Her brown hair flowed down her back and she had a natural sway to her hips. She finished making pancakes and sat down across from me.

"When was the last time you had a good meal?" Alice asked watching me.

"Uhm probably when I got kicked out of my parents 6 months ago." I uttered not wanting to get into the reason why.

"Oh, I'm sorry I almost killed you. I have decided to let you stay until you get on your feet. Starting with you putting on weight." Alice shyly announced.

"If it wasn't for the fact it is 20 below outside I would tell you I wouldn't want to bother you but it's too cold for that!" I joked trying to lighten the mood. She flashed a gorgeous smile over the coffee cup she held with both hands. "So what is Alice like?" I smirked.

"Well, I'm insensitive most of the time, I'm afraid of failure, I will defeat whatever is in my way, I can be a bitch, I like to curse, I'm 28, I live alone with my cat, I don't have friends and I like it that way, I don't know why I decided to let you stay, I'm all alone except my mother, my mother and I don't get along, I'm a little OCD about my stuff, I'm a neat freak, and don't mess with me on PMS I might kill you!" She laughed. "What about you?"

I laughed "I don't know if I can match up to yours but I'm 25, homeless, behind my front I am a big teddy bear, caring, and understanding, I am forgiving to most but can hold grudges, I try to act like nothing bothers me when it really is killing me, I'm all alone with nobody, I smoke, and drink a lot but who can blame me, like you I like to feel powerful but sometimes it's nice to feel not in control.

She looked at me hard like she was studying me. She didn't say anything else. We moved into living room onto the couch enjoying each others company in silence. Rex jumped in my lap and curled up in a ball and I watched as Alice crossed her arms and mumbled traitor. I smiled to myself knowing I was going to have fun.
