The next day...

2:00pm

Kapri

"That's crazy Kay. Sorry to hear that," I consoled her.

She just finished telling me about her and Kris's petty argument last night. Can't say that I blame him for being mad, but snapping out and not wanting to hear a single word is a totally different story.

I've done the same to Damon, but I apologized because I know I was in the wrong.

"Yeah." She carried out. "I'll be fine though, he'll get over it and we'll be good."

I nodded my head as we sat down on a park bench.

My mission was to speak to her today and I have. She was livid about the entire situation, and not only that, but with her cousin Emerald popping up everywhere she goes.

She spotted Emerald at the mall, then at Olive Garden. Even though, those are only two places, and it could be a coincidence...but if you look at the bigger picture then you'd say that it is no coincidence that she is magically popping up everywhere Kay is at the same time.

Kay is a strong lady who can hold her own. Trust me, with the bullshit from last year she held up pretty good and turned out A okay.

"I was hella surprised that he didn't even bring up Darrio." She said.

I threw some some bread out for the birds and turned my attention back to her.

"What's up wit' y'all anyway?" I asked, propping my elbow up against the backboard of the bench, crossing my right leg over my left.

She took in a deep breath and exhaled. "We're good, were actually friends ya' know? But-I just see the spark die down in his eye every time I call him my friend."

I shrugged. "Why?"

"Because in the beginning he wanted to be more than friends."

"Ouch!" I yelped. "That had to burn, especially for a dude. Ya' know dudes hate that."

She nodded her head, still facing forward. "I don't care though. I know who I want and I will leave it at that."

"You really think so? I mean like, I know there is a strong connection between you and Kris but--you really think he's the one?"

She shrugged doubtfully. "I don't know. If it's in God's will then so be it. I just know that's who I wanna have a relationship with."

I threw my hands up in surrender. "Aye, that's on y'all. Your decision boo, don't hold back. Go for it." I encouraged.

I truly have not a single doubt that her and Kris would be an amazing couple and work out. But, don't ever say that the person may become your wife or husband. You never know who God has in store for you to marry within seven, eight, or a decade from now.

Always plan ahead, stop worrying about what you need to do for now. That can always be taken away from you.

Trust me, losing my mother sadly opened my eyes into realization. I often wonder how I would be now if she was still alive.
