Kastynn's 18th Birthday
*****
"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to my babyyyyyy! Happy birthday to you!" Kris sang as he passed Kastynn her breakfast cupcake.
She was busy in the bathroom getting ready for the busy day ahead.
She smiled at him and planted a kiss on his lips. "Thanks baby." She then went back to working the magic on her face.
Today was her eighteenth birthday, and excited was not even the word to describe how she felt.
Although, there was a small bad feeling sitting in the pit of her stomach. The feeling she couldn't shake no matter how hard she tried.
The text Amber sent her a few days ago had her a bit on edge, but she wanted to believe her cousin wouldn't pull anything too drastic. It's been a minute since she's seen her cousin anyway, and she believed that it Emerald wanted to do anything, that she already would have.
She had her guard up, and her family by her side to protect her if anything dared to pop off on her birthday.
Today is the day Kastynn won't think twice to murk anybody who got in her way on her day.
"You ready for today?" Kris asked, licking the cream off of her cupcake.
"Yeah but-you just really ate my cupcake?" She asked in disbelief as she stared at him.
Kris looked down and laughed, his tongue was permanently glued to the icing on the cupcake.
"My bad. Here." He tried handing it to her.
"Nah. I don't need that right now. It's too early."
"The hell? Nigga it's nine not five."
Kastynn huffed and snatched the cupcake away from him, biting down into it.
"This is delicious." She mumbled, licking the cream from her lips.
"Like somethin' else I know." He said, smirking at her.
Kastynn looked at him and smiled instantly. "I know. Sweetest pussy on the planet."
"See." He smacked his lips. "I was talkin' about the cake yo' mama bought you for yo' birthday last year." He halfway lied.
"Yo' lyin' ass." Kastynn said as she off the light to the bathroom and left out.
"Somewhat. That cake was good as hell though."
Kastynn turned around to face him. "What kinda cake I had?"
"Uhhh..." He trailed, tapping his chin. "It was a double chocolate Reese's pieces with green and pink cream around it, and white filling with green sprinkles inside. It was so damn chewy bruh', that's the only thing I'an like."
