Fifteen minutes later I pulled into the parking lot of Golden Glide and got out. I saw Kris standing outside out of the building.

"Yo, what's up?" He greeted me.

I didn't say anything, I took the Rolex out of my purse and held it up in his face.

"Thank you shawty." He said taking it from me and slipping it in his pocket.

"You're welcome." I said smiling.

"Soo where you headed to and what happened to your lip? I know Tyshian didn't do that because your face was fine last night, except for the scratches."

I let a sigh. "Ehh nowhere and umm I-" He held his hand up for me to stop talking.

" Don't tell me, I'm just glad you're okay. Well, the sun is out. It is mighty beautiful today. Why not chill later on? You know when I get off from work?"

"Sure, love to."

"Okay, sounds like a date to me."

"Thought last night was a date?" I asked him.

"Oh nooooo. You didn't even know I was going so of course not."

"True."

"Plus, my girl would never fight on the first date shawty. She gone be tryna impress a nigga and shit ya know."

I jerked my head back at him and smiled. "You right, but I don't try to make an impression on anybody. I show who I am because I'm not afraid to do so."

"Of course, I know that."

"How do you know that?"

"Because you showed me last night and you just told me."

We both started laughing.

"So you gone play that card with me?"

"Hell yeah, you see I already got my first hand." He said grabbing my head and holding it.

Somehow I felt like I was being watched, so I turned around and saw that there was nobody standing up looking at me.

"What's wrong baby girl?"

"Just feels like someone is watching me."

"Well, this is Atlanta so you sometimes have to watch your back. Always turning around every five seconds wondering what the next nigga gone turn up and do."

I turned back around and looked at him and nodded.

"Yeah, you right."
