"Tessa, can you sit down?" My mom asked me and I nodded and sat down in front of them.

"Phoenix didn't grow up in the best environment so make him feel loved and safe." My dad said and I had Phoenix in my arms.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I petted Phoenix.

"Phoenix grew up in an abusive dog owners home and was abused at a young age. Since his mom had him the mom passed away due to starvation and the drunk freaking owner took out all his anger out on Phoenix. I adopted him from my friend who's a cop because he needed a home or he would be put down. I told them a different story because Thomas wouldn't understand and Kaden would freak out about every little thing." My dad said.

"Poor Phoenix, how old is Phoenix?" I asked.

"6 months." My mom said.

"I can't believe he grew up 6 months in that kind of environment." I said as I petted him and he was falling asleep in my arms.

"Just be careful with him, I want him to grow up in this house with people he can trust." My dad said.

"Yeah me too." I said then got up with a sleepy pup in my arms and went to my room.

I set Phoenix on my bed when he fell asleep and kissed his little forehead.

"Hey sis, where's Phoenix?" Kaden asked as he came into my room.

"He's in here sleeping, Kaden come sit." I said then patted the floor.

"What's up?" Kaden asked as he sat down.

"Just make sure you and Thomas take care of Phoenix and care for him." I said and he nodded.

"I will, I love him already and so does Thomas and Wes." Kaden said and I smiled.

"Good, Phoenix just needs a loving home and that's why he's here for us to love him and care for him." I said and he nodded.

"Okay, I'm going to go and hangout with Konnor and Sawyer now. Bye sis." Kaden said then ran off and I smiled then got up.

"I can't believe that you got a little dog!" Sav squealed as she petted Phoenix.

"Me too, I love him so much." I said and she smiled.

"You wanna take him to the park?" Sav asked and I nodded.

"Let me just go ask my mom and get some stuff for the walk." I said and she nodded as she played around with him.

I went downstairs and slid into the kitchen and saw my mom reading a cookbook.

"Oh honey, your father is having a his boss over for dinner tomorrow night. So should I make them a nice steak with salad, mashed potatoes, and a side of fruit or a type of pasta?" My mom asked as she turned a page.

"I don't know, mom can me and Savannah take Phoenix to the park?" I asked.

"Sure, I'll just ask your father and your brothers. Be careful with Phoenix, he's only 6 months and he's very delicate." My mom said and I nodded then grabbed the leash that had the bags attached to it and went upstairs.

"Look who's coming our way." Sav said and I looked over to see Alexa and her poodle.

"Hi girls, I didn't know they made this park available to everyone like... you." Alexa said.

"I didn't know they made it available to ignorant wannabe brats who always think they rule the place but news flash they don't!" Sav said.

"Whatever Savannah, what even is... that?" Alexa asked gesturing to Phoenix.

"It's a puppy, that's way more adorable than whatever that is." I said as I gestured to her poodle.

"This is Victoria and she's way better than that mutt." Alexa said.

"Are you talking about your dog because you only talk about you and your dog so I thought you were talking about your dog." I said.

"Victoria isn't a dog, she's a well groomed pooch who's way better than whatever that is." Alexa said to me.

"You know we shouldn't even be wasting our time with you and your dog." I said then stepped on her designer flat.

"Oops, sorry." I said as we continued walking then Phoenix lifted up his head and walked. Sav and I started bursting into laughter and continued to walk.

"That girl is a freaking b word." Sav said and I nodded in agreement.

"I can't believe that jerk face called Phoenix a mutt." I said in disbelief.

"I hate her!" Sav screamed and I patted her shoulder trying to calm her down.

"Hey guys!" Wes said as he jogged up to us.

"What are you doing here?" Sav asked.

"I'm just trying to get a workout because we have no practice today." Wes said as he petted Phoenix.

"Cool, see you at home. Do you want anything from Burger King?" I asked.

"Sure, I'll take a Whopper meal and a Coke. I'll pay you when you get home." Wes said then started jogging again.

"So I guess we're having Burger King tonight." Sav said and I smiled.

I jumped into the pool and felt the cold water tingle my skin and flow my hair backwards and I swam to the top.

"C'mon Thomas, I gotcha." Wes said as he held is hands out.

"Ahh!" I heard Thomas scream as he jumped into the pool and landed into Wes' arms.

"Cannonball!" Kaden yelled and jumped in and splashed me with the water making me close my eyes.

"Kids, your mother and I are heading out for lunch with your aunt and uncle. Behave and there's $30 on the counter for lunch." My dad called out.

"Okay!" I yelled back and then Wes came out of the slide and splashed me again.

"Phoenix, come here boy!" Kaden called out then Phoenix went over and then Kaden splashed him with the water and Phoenix ran away.

"Can we bring Phoenix into the pool?" Thomas asked sitting down on the stairs. Thomas can't really swim, he can only swim if someone's helping him but other than that no can do.

"Sure, we can teach him how to swim. You can both learn together." I said as I went out of the pool to find Phoenix.

"I'm going to order pizza for lunch, is that okay with everyone?" Wes asked as he picked up his phone and everyone gave him a thumbs up.

I brought Phoenix to the stairs and he soaked his feet in and started barking and climbed up the big stairs and barked at the water and we all started laughing.
