The New Hunter

Chapter 5

( Rays POV )

It was about six thirty and It was about time for me to leave when I remember Kabrean is crashing at my place. I look over to him to see him messing around on his single player MineCraft and all of his bags on the couch. " Yo Kabrean, we're heading out now llllllllllllet's go! " I say laughing. Kabrean saves his game then turns off this equipment before grabbing all his bags and following me to my car. He throws all of the bags into the trunk and we head to my appartment.

Once we get to my apartment I help unload the bags and bring them up to the apartment. " Is it ok if I set you up on the couch? " I ask. " Yeah, that's perfectly fine Ray. " Kabrean smiles. His smile seems oddly feminine. I think to myself. " Well I'm going get in my pajamas, I'll be back in a minute." I say before leaving the living room and trotting into my own room. A few minutes later I head back into the living room but stop dead in my tracks when I see a pretty girl in a tank top and sweats. Her hair was down a bit past her shoulders and had a light wave to it. Her hair was a hazelnut brown with natural red streks tinting the brown and at the tips of her hair faded into a dirty blonde color like Gavin's.

I take a sharp intake of breath before taking another step. The girl turns around quickly and looks at me with fear written in her turquoise eyes. " Who are you and where's Kabrean?" I demand with anger laced through my words. " Ray calm down Kabrean is here but not exactly. " the girl says in a soft tone but I could hear Kabreans voice in hers'. " Kabrean? Is that you?" I ask my anger flooding out of me and is replaced with confusion. The girl looks at me sheepishly with a look of defeated before nodding slightly. " Ray Kabrean doesn't exist, it's a name I made for myself. My actual name's Kailey, I'm a 21 year old girl who's good at video games okay? " Kailey says throwing her hands over her face. I sit there stunned for what felt like hours before I decide to speak. " Why did you tell everyone you were a guy." I managed to get out. " Because I was scared that I wouldn't be treated with the same respect and reconision as a girl gamer plus I didn't want people treating me with handy caps during games just cause I'm a girl. " she say slumping onto the couch.

I go and sit next to her on the couch. " Does anyone else know?" I question. " Yeah, Burnie does. He was the only one that was suppose to know. And now you know my secret when you weren't suppose to. " she states defeat lacing in her voice. " Kailey, I won't tell anyone, you can trust me. " I say placing a hand on her shoulder. She didn't say a word but only nodded her head yes. I wasn't sure what to even do in this situation so I just sat there rubbing circles on her back. " Ray, when we're at work can you treat me like this never happened, I don't want everyone else knowing, at least not yet. " she says. " Of course Kailey. Do you want to play some MineCraft? " I ask " Sure Ray, " Kailey says with a smile
