Chapter 14

( Rays POV )

- one year later -

I pace around the living room waiting for Kailey to come out of the bathroom. Tonight she was finally going to tell everyone that she was a girl during the offices dinner party also I wanted to ask her something really important. When she came out she was in suit pants and a button up shirt and of course her STUPID FUCKING beanie which I learned to hate in the past year. " Ready? " " Yup, lets go " We walk out to my car and drive to the Restaurant where the dinner was being held. When we get there we tell the waitress that we were with ' Michael Burns ' and she lead us to the table where everyone was laughing and telling stories. We sat down in the two empty seats and started talking with everyone. Half way through dinner when we were all eating Kailey leaned close to my ear. " Ray... I think it's the right time to tell them....." She whispered nervously in my ear. " Go for it, it'll be okay " I whisper back. After I do so she taps her fork against her glass to get everyone's attention, which thankfully worked and everyone shut up and looked at her. " Guys, I'd just like to say a few things. First of all thank you all so much for the great first year of working for Rooster Teeth. I've created friendships with all if you and you all welcomed me into your families with open arms and big hearts and I appreciate it, and also that you are all the biggest assholes I've ever met, " she said and got some laughs and the end of that sentence," Second, I have a confession to make and it's been nagging in the back of my mind from the first day I worked for you all," she says looking down gripping the Beanie on top if her head and pulling it off slowly letting her hair fall lightly onto her shoulders before looking up, " My actual name is Kailey, and I'm a girl. I'm sorry it took so long to tell you. " she ends looking at everyone's expressions. " Bloody hell...." Gavin said stating wide eyed at Kailey. The rest of dinner everyone was asking her questions like they'd never met her before. When the end on the dinner came everyone said goodbye and parted ways. Kailey and I got in the car and drove back to the apartment. Once there I finally had enough courage to ask Kailey. " Hey Kailey? " I ask nervously. " Yeah Ray? " she replies curiously.
