The New Hunter

Chapter 9

( Michael's POV )

I woke up fairly early today for some reason so I get dressed and go into the kitchen and start making pancakes for Lindsay and I. Lindsay soon came out tiredly and smiled at me. Thankfully I just finished making the breakfast so I turn off the burners and walk over to her and kiss her lightly on the lips. God I love her. I think happily. " Breakfast's ready if you're hungry, I have to go over to the office to edit my rage quit from yesterday. I'll see you in a little bit. " I smile. " Thanks Michael, love you. " She replies with a smile on her face. I smile back kissing her one last time before slipping on my converse, grabbing my backpack and heading out. As everyone knows I only lived right across the street so it was a very easy commute to work every morning. I got to the office and greeted Kara on the way in as always and walked to the Achievement Hunter office to see Kabrean and Ray howling with laughter like mad men and playing Minecraft. Kabrean was wearing in a cut sleeve hoodie, black shorts, a Pokemon belt, black vans, and the same beanie as yesterday in the same style as well. " Happy first day of summer assholes What are you guys doing here so early? " I say with a smirk. I see a slight dawn of realization and fear on Kabreans' face but it went away as fast as it came. " We just decided to get a head start on the day. " Kabrean said a smirk pulling on his lips .

Burnie then walks in and pats Kabrean's back about to say some thing but Kabrean stops him. "Burnie if you say it I will walk out of this office right now. " he says glaring at him.I think if a glare could kill, Burine would be dead at least 20 times over. "Right, well have a good first day of summer. " Burnie coughs and walks away out of the office. Kabrean sighs losing his sudden anger and turns back to is Monitor and continues building his house in Minecraft. Ray and I exchange a glance before looking back at our new co-worker. " What the fuck was that about dude?! You could get yourself fired! " I yell, not loud like my rage quits but just loud enough that it would only be heard by the 3 of us. Kabrean slams down his controller on the metal shelf and stands up and walking right up to me and grabbing the collar of my shirt with anger dancing in his eyes like an open flame behind his glasses . For the first time in my years of working here at RoosterTeeth I actually was a little scared of another person. In the very corner of my eye I see Ray with a small look of terror on his expression. Kabrean let his glare down and looked down at the floor. I see his hands start shaking and then release my shirt collar. He let out a shaky sigh and looked back into my eyes. " Sorry Michael, I'm a little on edge today. Ya know first day actually working here and all. Hate me if you want I'm going to get some air. " he said not even looking at me before leaving the office. " You ok buddy? " Ray asks me. " Yeah...fine. He actually scared me a bit. The anger in his eyes made me think he was going to rip me apart. " I confess. Ray nods before standing up. " I'm going to go get him, we need to finish our game. " Ray states walking out of the office leaving me in silence. I decide to sit down at my desk and start editing.

Right when I finish editing Ray walks back in with Kabrean. I look at Kabrean and see an emotion in his facial expression was that...regret? Kabrean suddenly comes up and hugs me. At first I didn't know what to do but I end up hugging him back. " I really am sorry Michael, I didn't mean to get that mad at you it's just usually the first day of summer....isn't really my best day I'm usually kinda easily emotionally triggered by small things like something not working out or someone yelling at me, please forgive me. " he say sadly. He sounds so much like a girl apologizing. I think. " It's fine, everyone has their days." I say. " Thanks Michael. " he says going back to his chair and starts playing Minecraft again with Ray. After that everyone starts arriving at the office and setting up equipment. " So guys what do you guys wanna record? " Geoff asks us all. " How about a MineCraft? " Kabrean puts in. No one objected of course so we all set up the recordings and we start. "Hey what's up everybody? It Geoff, Michael, Gavin, Ray, Jack, and our newest Achievement Hunter Kabrean with the next episode of Minecraft! " Geoff says enthusiastically. " LLLLLLLLLLET'S PLAY!" Ray shouts. We ended up playing for a good solid 2 hours and we a had a great time. In the end though Kabrean ended up winning the Tower of Pimps. Since He didn't have a house in Achievement City yet he went next to Rays house and placed down a Fucking Diamond block and then built up the four blocks of gold. " TOWER OF PIMPS BITCHES!" Kabrean screamed happily. Gavin then took the camera and recored Kabrean taking the tower off of Rays' desk and placing it on the metal shelf. " After we finished recording and everything I stood up and stretched my back. " Well I'm going out to lunch, anyone wanna come with? " I ask. Pretty much everyone said yes except for Kabrean. I give him a questioning look " Don't worry about me, I'm just going to chill here you guys can go. " he says with a smile. I shrugged and left the office with everyone else.
