( Kaileys POV )
I woke to the sound of pans clattering from the kitchen. I sit up and stretch out my back and arms while yawning. I look around the dimly lit room and see I was in Ray's bed. That's weird I don't remember coming into Ray's bed.... I think getting off the bed and going into the Kitchen to see Ray cooking in a tank top and pajama pants and his hair was a mess. I felt a rush of heat go to my face. Am I blushing? Please tell me I'm not blushing, I've known this guy for all of 1 day. I can't seriously like Ray. I think shaking my head before I head into the kitchen.
" Whatcha cookin there Ray? " I ask. He jumps a little in shock before turning around to face me. " Oh good morning Kailey. I'm making Empanadillas.... my Madre used to make them for me when I was little. I guess they're comfort food for me when I miss home. Kinda lame huh? " Ray laughs a little going back to cooking. " No I think that's sweet that you're making them cause you miss home. Your mom must have been a good cook . " I say sitting on the counter.
Ray looks at me with a small hit of shock in his expression. " How did you know that I said my mother made them? " Ray asks. " Well all of my life so far my dad has worked for catering companies and he's worked with a lot of Hispanic people that didn't speak to much English so he had to speak a lot of Spanish and he started saying things to me in Spanish. Also In high school I was required to learn Spanish so I'm fluent in it now. " I say smiling.
He smiles back at me a little before going back to cooking so that the Empanadillas wouldn't burn. He soon was done and put one on each of the two plates and sat down at the counter with me placing one of the plates in front of me. I look over at him with a questioning glance. " I made one for you, we do have to eat before we go to work you know. " Ray chuckles handing me a fork and knife. I smile back at him and start cutting up the first piece and eating it. " Oh my god Ray this is amazing, " I saw after I swallow. " haha thanks, my mom taught me how to make them... I'm glad you like it. " Ray says shyly before going back to eating. Once we finish eating we put our dishes in the dish washer and get ready for work. I come out in a cut sleeve hoodie, black guy shorts, a Pokemon belt, black vans, and my beanie with my hair stuffed in.
Ray comes out in his #YOLO shirt, shorts, and white converse. He sees me and he frowns a little." te ves mejor con el pelo suelto y no en ese estúpido gorro " Ray mumbles before smiling. " Come on we don't want to be late for work Kailey. " Ray says grabbing my hand and pulling me out the door.
