( Rays POV )

Soon after I'm all dressed Kailey comes out in a gray sweater, denim shorts, black converse, and a YOLO bracelet. I feel my heart speed up for a moment and then goes back to normal. Well lets' not keep Geoff waiting any longer. " I laughs holding out his hand for her to take. "Agreed. Lets' go. " Kailey say taking my hand as we walk out the door.

As we walk down the many flights of stairs a though struck my mind. " Kailey, what am I going to tell everyone your name is? If I say your real name they might figure out you're Kabrean. " I ask. " Uh that's a good question Ray. Call me Kat, it's short for Kathryne. " She says nodding to herself pleased with the fake name she'd given to herself for tonight. When we get down to Geoffs car we quickly get in. " Here let me introduce you two. Geoff this is my friend Kathryne, Kathryne this is Geoff. " I say.

" You can call me Kat for short, it's nice to meet you Geoff. " Kailey says sweetly. " It's nice to meet you too Kat, I hope you enjoy dinner tonight and I hope you like the others that are coming. " Geoff says jamming the key in the ignition and starts driving to his house.

Once we get to the house we all get out and go inside. Once inside everyone started introducing themselves to Kailey. It's cool how she's able to act like she's never met them before. I think staying close to her. Suddenly I see Millie run up to Kailey and shoves her hand out.

" Hi, I'm Millie Ramsey! " Millie states with a smile. " Well hello Millie, it's nice to meet you. I'm Kat. I'm Ray's friend from New York. " Kailey says bending down to Millies' height and shaking her hand. That's cute. I think with a small smile. " Kat! Do you want to play Angry Birds with me on my daddies phone up in my room? " Millie asks.

" Sure Millie I'd love that! Also when when we're in your room, can I tell you a secret? " Kailey says still at the 9 year olds' height. " Of course! I can keep your secret Kat! " Millie laughs getting Geoffs' phone from the coffee table and taking Kailey up to her room.

I follow but only to be stopped my Millie at her door. " Sorry Ray no boys but daddy. " She says closing the door on me. I hear her and Kailey giggle behind the door. I sigh in defeat and go down stairs and start chatting with Gavin until it was time for dinner. I quickly go up to Millies room and Knock on the door. " Come in " I hear Millie say. I open the door and poke my head inside. " Yo girls dinners up." Ok Ray! Come on Kailey let's go get dinner!" Millie says Happily. Oh that must have been the secret she was telling to Millie. Her real name. I say to myself in my mind.

The three of us go downstairs and get dinner. The whole time everyone was laughing and having separate conversations. I end up just on my phone in the living room keeping my thoughts to myself once I had finished my dinner. Every couple seconds though I kept glancing over at Kailey while she was talking Gavin who was now sitting next to her. Before she got up Gavin took her hand in his and kissed the back of it and she blushed. I felt my blood boil and I felt a spark of jealousy run through my veins and in my heart. Why am I jealous? I just met her today. It's not like I like her or anything.....right? I think nervously.

Kailey ended up coming into the living room and sitting next to me. She yawned quietly and leaned her head on my shoulder. " You know what you said earlier to Geoff about " Kabrean " having jet lag? " Kailey asks me tiredly putting lazy air quotes as she said her fake name . " Yeah why? " I ask curiously. " Well Jet lag is hitting " Kabrean " pretty hard. " she yawns again her eyes watering.

" Well I can call a cab to bring us back to the appartment. " I say looking down at her with a small smile across my lips. She nods and puts one of her hands on my cheek moving it against my thick stubble. " Your face is so pricklely casue of this.... " she says tiredly before letting her hand fall limp off my cheek and back to her side. The place where her hand was now felt cold and I frown a little before getting my phone from my pocket and calling a cab.

After 45 minutes the cab arrives outside and we say our goodbyes. Right before we walked out the door Millie ran up to Kailey. " No Kat don't leave! Please stay with us! " Millie says saddly holding onto her sweater. " Kailey chuckles and picks Millie up. " Aw Millie, I wish I could, but I have to go back to Ray's house cause that's where all my things are. Maybe if your mommy and daddy let me I could maybe see you after your done with school once in a while." Kailey says hugging her before setting her down. " Wait before you go, I drew this for you! Millie says handing Kailey a piece of paper with a drawing on it.

" It's so cute thank you Millie. Is this suppose to be you and me playing Angry Birds? " Kailey asks smiling down at the drawing. " MHM! I hope you like it goood night Kat! " Millie says skipping off to the living room to play XBOX with Geoff. We quickly head out to the cab and get in. Once in I gave the cab driver the adress to my appartment and he started driving.

After a few minutes of silence I feel Kailey lean her head on my shoulder for the second time tonight.       " Hey Kailey when are you going to -" I start but I stop when I see her silently sleeping. I smile wrapping an arm around her waist. The cab drive wasn't much longer and once the car was in front of the apparent building I pay the driver and pull Kailey out of the cab and carry her bridle style.

She moves a little bit in my arms and nuzzles her face in my chest before going still again. I somehow managed to get my door unlocked and walked inside closing the door with my foot. I bring Kailey into my room and lay her down under the covers. I quickly take off my clothes and put on the pair of pajama pants I had on earlier and get into my side of the bed. I think I might like her... I think before slipping into unconsciousness myself.
