U N E D I T E DAlmost as quickly as it happened it was over, leaving me with wide eyes, a flushed face and tingling lips. "Holy sh*t Belle brace yourself" Dane exclaimed breathlessly grabbing my hand, I turned around to see a massive wave hurtling towards us. I gasped and Dane quickly pulled me to him, arms wrapping protectively around me, before the wave hit us, tossing us under the churning water. Danes strong arms held me to him and brought up up out of the water quickly. Dane let go of me to move his hair out of his face, I immediately missed his warmth. We stayed silent gasping for breath and our friends quickly moved towards us. "Woah man, holy wipeout!" Sean said patting Dane on the back. The girls and Chris hovered around me, making sure I was alright. I waved them of laughing breezily "Guys shut up, come on we just got dumped. Don't worry I'm all good" I stated taking deep breath, little do they know that being through the oceans washing machine, but also because Dane. Had. Kissed. Me. I shot him a quick glance, only to find him studying me carefully, a cautious expression on his face. I smiled shyly at him and then shook my head, why was I being shy? I mean this was Dane. Shaking off my thoughts I shot him a large grin and winked at him, he returned my grin and shook his head slowly, a smile still on his face. Suddenly I felt a soft hand touch my bare and dripping wet arm, I turned away from Dane and saw Christian standing next to me, looking at me with concern evident in his clear blue eyes that were now scanning my face. "Are you okay Isabelle?" I smiled at him and nodded slowly, noticing his warm hand was still lingering on my arm. He must have noticed as well because he retracted it slowly a slight blush dusting his well sculpted cheeks. "I'm all good Christian, nothing that hasn't happened before" I said patting his shoulder lightly, he smiled at me before tilting his head and staring at me intently, slowly he reached up and tucked a stray, salty, piece of my wet brown hair behind my ear. This time it was me that blushed. Suddenly someone cleared their throat making my face burn even more and Christian quickly pull his hand away as we whipped around to face the person who had interrupted us. Chris. Of course. "What do you want Christopher" I grumbled playfully he gripped my hand and began pulling me away after yelling "I need to talk to her" to Christian who merely scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Awww. Turning around I noticed Chris was pulling me back to the campsite. "Whats up brother?" i asked as we sat down against a tree, the same tree Dane and I had been under the night before. "What are you doing Belle, I saw what happened with you and Dane in the water before you got dumped, and just then with Christian.." he looked at me a puzzled, concerned expression on his face, "tell me whats happening here" I broke eye contact momentarily and fiddled with my fingers mulling over a response. Letting out a sigh I replied honestly, "I dont know Christian, Danes my best friend and i think only that...What happened today was probably just adrenalin and a heat of the moment thing on Danes part, and besides I like Christian he's cute and really nice" I said not meeting his eyes. He made a noise of agreement and I looked up at him to see him studying something in the distance, Hayley. "Hmm, what about you mr, whats going on with you and Hayles?" he whipped his head around a bright blush lighting his face. "W-what, nothing" he stuttered, I shook my head and got up slowly, dusting my legs off. I held a hand out offering to help him up, "Come on, lets go get lunch started" He took my hand and we moved to the tents to begin making lunch for the group. As we made sandwiches I mulled over the events of the morning. It had certainly been both eventful and extremely confusing.
