After an extended weekend of relaxing, laughing and sun bathing we decided we had better head back home, the group dispersed each of us going our respective ways, yelling goodbyes and 'see you tomorrow's'. Dane and I hadn't spoken about what happened in the water on the second day of our group getaway, but surprisingly it didn't change our attitude towards each other as one might expect. Sure, Dane kissed me, but that didn't mean he liked me or anything. I am personally choosing to blame it on the adrenaline  that was coursing through both of us after our little tandem show. I mulled over the events of said weekend whilst staring thoughtfully out of the front passenger window of Danes car. My ears picked up the sound of Dane humming softly along to the Queen song that was currently playing, glancing behind me I noticed Chris and Christian were sleeping soundly. I let out a sigh and adjusted myself in the seat getting comfortable. "You tired Belle?" Dane asked breaking eye contact with the road to glance at me. I hummed quietly before giving him a proper answer  of, "Yeah a little bit I guess" he nodded and looked back at the road. "Those two are dead to the world, far out I swear Chris can sleep anywhere" he stated, I watched as his eyes glanced fondly at my little brother in the backseat before flitting over to what I assumed was Christians sleeping figure, a small smile graced his tanned face and I slowly found myself smiling with him. Quickly I whipped the grin of my face and rolled my eyes before shoving his arm gently. "Look who's talking idiot, you fell asleep on the tea cup ride at the school fair in grade school!" I said chuckling at the memory of me, after hours of searching finding twelve year-old Dane curled up in the yellow tea cup that he had been riding for what the clerk said had been an hour and a half. "Geeze, it was one time, and I had zero energy due to the fact that I had been chasing you all afternoon trying to get you on the roller coaster" he grumbled playfully looking at me with mirth evident in his dark exotic looking eyes. I shook my head slowly at the memory a fond smile growing on my lips. "Oh those were the days" I stated nostalgia creeping up on me, shaking it off I turned fully to Dane. "You know what we should do?" I asked as an amazingly fabulous idea suddenly fell upon me from the heavens. Dane quickly looked at me cautiously, noting the obvious look of absolute mania on my face before replying slowly "What should we do?" I grinned creepily and his expression turned from caution into fear, his fingers tapping absently on the steering wheel. "We should get matching tattoos, you know since you refuse to wear the friendship necklace I got you when we were little". At the word 'tattoo' Dane shot me  a surprised look. He had several tattoos already and I had always lectured him about how he was going to regret it one day. "You wanna get a tattoo?" he asked slowly, before reaching over cautiously and placing a hand on my forehead as though he was checking if I were ill before making a clucking noise in the back of his throat. "Hmm, no temperature but theres definitely something wrong with you" I swatted his hand away glaring at him and was about insult the idiot when he interrupted me. "And I decided not to wear the 'friendship necklace' because for one thing its half of a pink heart that is totally girly and it says BFFL on it" I pouted at him, "Hey I was like what eleven? Cut me some slack it was a good present at the time!" I defended, he chuckled shaking his head with amusement. "It was, thats why my half is on my car keys". I shot him a surprised look and quickly leant over him and sure enough there dangling from the ignition was Dane's stupid tacky half of the necklace id given to him all those years ago. I 'awwed' fondly and poked him on the cheek, "Daney-poo thats so freaking adorable!" I cooed at him, I noticed a light sweep of pink tint his olive skin. "are you blushing" I asked teasingly, "Aw you so are!" I exclaimed poking him on the cheek. He brushed my finger away his mouth turning up in a an almost shy smile. "Shut up Belle" I pouted at him retracting my hand, "Now, about this tattoo idea. What type were you thinking?" He asked his eyes focussed on the road. I tugged on the ends of sun bleached hair before replying uncertainly, "Uh, well I dunno something meaningful so we wont, you know, to remember our friendship and everything" I felt a blush creeping on my cheeks and looked away from Danes relaxed figure. I felt a hand brush over mine and looked down to see Danes tanned slender hand intertwined with mine, "Hey it's a good idea, I'd really love to get one to remember us by" I met his eye and grinned happily at him he smiled back at me fondly. "Hey guys, sorry to ruin the moment but are we almost there yet?" Chris' voice broke through or meaningful silence, Dane and I immediately retracted our hands faces burning. "Shut up Chris" I stated bashfully.
