EDITED//

Ah yes, partying. A disorganised event planned by a teen often craving popularity or recognition, where a group of teens gathered together, get wasted on whatever alcohol and illegal drugs they can get their dirty little hands on, all in the name of 'fun'. This was a concept had never usually been interested in. Well until Tuesday afternoon in English when Charlie asked me if I was going to Stewarts 18th on Friday.

"No, I wasn't planning on it" I replied to her question not really paying attention, trying to copy down the last of the notes before the bell went.

"Oh, I thought Dane said he was planning on bringing you, Amelia and Hayley" Now that caught my attention.

"Oh did he now? He forgot to mention that detail to me" I replied smirking. Christy grinned at me, and flipped her gorgeous long, black hair over her shoulder as we exited the classroom.

"Come on babe, you have to come! We haven't been to a party together for agesssss" she pouted. I rolled my eyes, at her statement. Okay, so its been a good month or six since I've attended a party. But in my defence my last experience wasn't exactly pleasant.

"Maybe baby" I replied winking at her. She rolled her dark eyes and let out a frustrated huff. "You say that all the time" she grumbled under her breath.

Okay, maybe I did. But honestly the whole party thing was not for me. I just ended up looking after my friends who decided to get blackout drunk. Not exactly my definition of a good time. However, I found myself actually wanting to go to Stewart's, I'd heard his parties were usually pretty good.

I said goodbye to Charlie and got on my bus, smiling at the bus driver I began to look for a seat. Dane waved me over to the empty seat next to him,

"Hey man" I greeted him once I sat down.

"heeeyyy, how was last period?" he asked and we exchanged small-talk for a few minutes before I asked him about the party.

"So I heard we're going to Stewart's Friday night"

A sheepish smile filled his face before he said, "Oh yeah, did I forget to tell you?" he asked knowing full well he did.

"Hmm, I dont recall you telling me this minor detail actually" I said tapping my chin thoughtfully. He grinned and began explaining that 'it was about time I go out' and ' I thought it would be fun for you, Mill, Hayls and I to go together'. I grinned "Okay, okay, okay! I get it! Just be quiet for a sec and let me talk!" I said between laughter as he blushed realising he was rambling. "Okay go then, talk woman".

"Okay so I actually kinda wanna go to tomorrow, so you can stop trying to convince me. But I swear Dane, that if I have to pick up your drunk ass off of the ground once I will walk home!" I warned, forgetting that Stewart lives a good half-hour away.

Dane grinned and fist pumped at my statement before replying with "Hey, I don't even get that wasted, shut up!" I rolled my eyes.

And a feeling excitement settled over me at the idea of going out with the gang and having a good time.
