A Classic Teenage Romance

The Holiday party pt 1

" Well," Dane said glancing around the table we were all currently seated around, "how does everyone feel?" He asked before bringing his second coffee for the day to his lips. I followed the action with my gaze, flushing when he caught me staring at his lips. "Good, good" Hayley answered excitedly, "Zander did such a good job, I love mine it's so delicate, and" she said shooting me a mischievous glance, "he's super hot so that also helps, I'd go back any day" I nodded along to her statement earning a glare from Dane over his coffee cup and a chuckle from Christian. "What do you think of yours?" I asked turning towards him, he ran a delicate hand through his dark hair and smiled thoughtfully, "I really love it, I think my parents would think it was cool after smacking me for getting it" he replied with a fond smile which we all mirrored. "And you Belle?" Dane asked, I shot him a smirk and looked down at my left wrist that now sported the small outline of the Spirited Away character No Face, "I love ours it's very us" he nodded along studying his wrist that possessed the identical outline a soft smile on his face. We all sipped away at our drinks and discussed what the plans were for the rest of the night before my phone interrupted us, "sorry guys, it's Chris" the nodded and Dane motioned for me to answer which I did "Brother darling" I greeted after accepting the call, "hey fam," he replied "where are you guys?" after relaying our location to him he told me the reason behind his call, "I just wanted to let you know that the Washington's are having a holiday party tonight," I shout everyone an excited look to which they replied with one of confusion, "I don't know if you brought anything with you but it's supposed to be dressy and the theme is black and white and I was just wondering if you could pick me up a shirt since all I brought with are T-shirt's I have black pants just grab me a black shirt and jacket please" I rolled my eyes , "yes of course brother I'll get you something, and thanks for letting me know what time does it start?" I asked to which he replied notifying me that the party officially began at 7:00 but we should be ready by 6pm to greet guests and help out. I nodded along before bidding him goodbye. It was currently 2:00 giving us 4 hours until we had to be ready. I turned to my friends and repeated what my brother had told me Hayley let out a excited squeal and gave Dane a high five, "the Washington's are notorious for throwing the best parties, their last one literally had a 45 piece orchestra, it was wild" Christian shot me a surprised look. "The theme is black and white so if anyone doesn't have anything to wear we should probably go grab some stuff. Everyone nodded and we finished our drinks quickly before all getting up.

It was decided that Christian, Dane and I needed an entire outfits whereas Hayley only needed shoes to match the white dress she had brought with. We decided to cover the boys first figuring they would take the least time. They did not. Christian and Dane shopping together seemed to be a task that proved to be impossible, they kept distracting each other and showing each other new pieces. Dane was a pain to shop with on his own but paired with Christian it took over an hour of looking before they both composed outfits that they felt fit the theme. I had purchased the Items Chris had requested and we moved onto the women's boutiques. As we entered the first store a delicate looking, white dress immediately caught my attention, I figured since the boys were all wearing black Hayley and I should probably stick to the white theme save ya looking like a group of goths. I tried the dress on and loved the way it fell on me and immediately purchased it. Hayley and I then grabbed shoes, mine being a pair of black leather high heeled mules and Hayley's a pair of classic white stroppy heels. We then grabbed some earrings, and I grabbed a few chains that I thought would compliment Danes outfit and we headed back to the Washington's house to get ready.

It took the lot of us an hour to get ready and after we had all completed the task we met up in the dining room at 5:30. Dane and I were the first to arrive at the agreed upon meeting place as Hayley told me to go ahead due to her lengthy battle with her eyeliner. When I reached the bottom of the staircase the sound of my approach made him turn from his conversation with the bartender who had just handed him what I could only assume was a Sailor Jerry's and ginger ale, and my heart jumped into my throat when I took note of his appearance.
He had landed on an outfit that literally made me stop and stare at the sight of him and thank the Lord for giving me male friends who knew how to dress. He had picked a loose fitting dress shirt that hung loosely on him and was buttoned (or unbuttoned) in a way that displayed a significant amount of his chest, it was patterned with photographs of different mouths all in black and white print, the shirt was tucked into a pair of black dress pants with a thin simple black belt encircling his waist. The pants were rolled up at the ankles displaying a slither of tanned skin before it disappeared into a pair of black loafers. I repeat LOAFERS. His hair was loose and the blonde gleamed against his tanned skin and he shot me a wink when he caught me practically drooling at the sight of him before noticing my own appearance.
