A/N the chapter is a little slow but not a filler

March 1st
Luke's pov

We all drove to the airport in silence. Ashton was driving while Michael was in the passenger seat. Calum, Kay, and I were all squished in the back of Kay's fathers rental car. Who by the way, I already met.

Flashback

I drove nervously to the restaurant a recommended to Kay. I was going to be 20 minutes early but that was ok, I wanted to be their early.

I parked my car and scanned over what I was wearing. Maybe I should have worn nicer pants. Not skinny jeans. Maybe I should have had my mom iron my tie. Yeah, I wore a tie.

It's too late now to change anything, I was already there. I stepped out of the car and into the lobby, where I waited for Kay and her father.

The front door opened and in came Kay and her father. To say I was nervous was and understatement. But truly, with the night going almost smoothly, I had nothing to worry about.

The worst that happened was a few spilt drinks here and there.

The best part was at the end when Kay's father pulled me aside, "I like you kid, and I can tell Kay does too. I know you'll make her happy."

End

"Luke!" Michael yelled.

"Hmm?" I snapped out of my flashback.

"We're here." Kay told me. I looked down at her, then out the window, then back to her again.

"Oh, well, let's get going then." I opened the door of the car and motioned for Kay to follow.

I picked up my bag, which was by the side of the car because Ashton and Calum already took the bags out.

Ashton began to list the things we had to do from beginning to end, "-then we say our goodbyes, then we get on the plane, and then we should be on our way."

"Ashton chill." Michael chuckled.

We all went through security, even though only four of us would be leaving today.

Sometimes I wish Cal was still sick, that way, we would at least still be in Australia with Kay for her last couple days. It's not a lot, but it would give me more time to say some things that I need to say.

"Look! Starbucks!" Mikey pointed and made his way to the Starbucks.

"Michael, we don't have Starbucks on the list, we don't have time for this, we are gonna miss our flight and-" Ashton began to ramble.

"Ashton, calm down," Kay put a hand on his shoulder, "it will be ok, you'll have enough time, we got here early didn't we?"

"Yes, but security took longer than planned for and-" Ashton began to ramble on again.

"Ashton." Kay stopped him. He looked down and grumbled something nobody could hear before walking off in Mike's direction.

"Jade!" Calum shouted while running to his girlfriend who had already gotten here with Bryana.

Ashton was nagging Michael when Bryana hugged him from behind. Ashton instantly calmed down at her touch.

Michael grabbed his drink and walked away from the scene and over to us. "I hate being a third, fuck, seventh wheel."

In the month we've known Kay, Michael and Kay have gotten really close and we're practically best friends. He's told Kay about his whole soulmate situation himself. I was a little jealous. Of both of them.

Of how close Mikey and Kay are, even if we are close ourselves, and how Mikey told Kay and they've known each other for a month. He only told me about the month before Kay came. And he's been thinking about it for the majority of last year and the whole of this one so far.

"Mikey I promise you'll get your soulmate. You have most of the year before you turn 20. It will be okay." Kay wrapped her arms around him.

"Okay we have to get going! Start walking people!" Ashton shouted and everyone looked at him oddly, "nothing to see!" Ashton dismissed.

We all began to walk to wherever Ashton was leading us. "Our plane leaves soon so, uh, I guess it's time for goodbyes."

"Me first!" Michael wrapped his arms around Kay and they said their goodbyes before her walked over to Bryana and Ashton and slipped into the middle of their hug.

I was taken aback when Kay enveloped me in a hug.

"I'll miss you." she told me.

"I wish you could come with us." I sighed.

"I have school." she reminded me.

"Just drop out like Mike and Cal." I suggested but I knew it wouldn't happen.

"Mike and Cal, had their career set." she pointed out.

"You could be our official tour stylist." I joked.

"You need a license for that." she giggled.

"You could be out secret tour stylist." I laughed.

"Shut up." She pulled back from the long hug.

It was silent for a while and I was growing more nervous by the second. I had to tell her and I had to tell her now.

"Kay." I said slowly and she instantly knew I had something important to say.

"What is it?" she scrunched her eyebrows together.

I fiddled with the bracelets on my wrist that covered the symbol on it.

"I-" I took a glance at her wrist to see the symbol on hers.

Two arrows crossing each other, the sign of friendship. Maybe if I tell her, it will change to match mine.

"Luke?" she asked.

"I," I looked at her in the eyes, "I'm just going to miss you so much. I don't know what I'm going to do."

I chickened out. I can't believe I didn't tell her. Now it's too late.

"I'll miss you too Luke, but they called your flight. You don't want to miss it do you?" she asked, with a look sadness with a hint of suspicion in her eyes.

"No, I guess I don't." We hugged one more time, and before I knew it. I was seated on the plane next to the window and Calum.

"Did you tell her?" he asked.

I removed my bracelets. "No." I said, staring at the blue heart on my wrist.

A/N I know their tour started in May or whatever but for my plot things needed to start in the beginning of the year so yeah
The problem of the story is starting to be introduced how are you?
