Kay's POV

I laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling, lost in my own thoughts as I listened to the background noise.

After a while I heard a knock on the front door, and Ashton's footsteps towards the door when he went to answer it after the sixth knock.

I didn't know who was there, I could hear dialogue but I couldn't make out many of the words or who the other voice belonged to.

That was until the person was speaking right outside my door.

"Kay, it's Michael. Can I come in?"

I didn't move a muscle, I contemplated wether or not I wanted to see anyone at all with a blank stare as Michael knocked on my door.

I groaned, realizing if I didn't let him in the knocking wouldn't stop for hours.

And then Ashton would bug me about making Michael leave after standing outside my door for hours.

"I don't know how you plan to open the door like that. Maybe you should try the handle." I shouted sarcastically.

"Well you could've told me it was unlocked sooner." Michael said as he sat down in a chair that rested in the corner of the room while the door slowly shut behind him.

"You could've tried the handle." I remarked, propping myself up on my elbows.

Michael opened and closed his mouth a few time before finding the words to say, "Well, that would've been, uh, that would've been rude! To just barge in like that."

I chuckled, shaking my head, "So, what's up, Clifford?" I said, acting like our current situation had no effect on me.

"I really don't know how to start this, ask this, I mean. A lot has happened and I'm really awkward sometimes, like now, so I'm just going to come out and ask." Michael rambled.

"Go on a date with me?"

My eyes widened. I had absolutely no idea what to do.

"I-I-" Michael looked at me expectantly, "I'll be right back." I mumbled, jumping off my bed.

As I was making my way towards the door, Michael caught my wrist, "Kay, wait."

I turned around, looking everywhere but Michael.

"I know what you're thinking, what about Luke? Am I right?" He questioned.

I let my eyes meet his as I nodded.

"I already spoke with Luke. In fact, he was the one who sent me here." Michael explained.

I furrowed my brows together. To be honest, that kind of hurt? Is he already over me?

"Why would he do that?" I asked.

"Because he want you to be happy." Michael offered a small smile.

"Look, I'm just asking for a chance. Please?" Michael asked hopefully.

I took in a deep breath, I wasn't sure how this would go, but I decided to take a leap of faith.

"Okay."
